What a nice weekend, and the weather was pretty good to!! On Friday I ended up with no daycare kids at 3pm so we headed as a family to do our grocery shopping! The kids haven't gone that much in the last months so they had a good time "helping" load the carts!!
Saturday Julia left with Kari to go babysit for her daughter in Howard as she had to work. She babysat Sat night and Sunday all day and came home Sunday evening, she did very well and had a blast and made some good money. I don't think I mentioned that I hired her for the summer to be my helper M-F from 8am till 12noon and so she had payday there too!! She is so proud of herself and is planning so save up and buy something BIG!!
Brit, myself and the other 3 kids went fishing that evening and I caught the first fish of the season for us!!! YAY! We had a good time, and have been going every weekend!
Sunday the boys fished in the Knights of Columbus Tournament at Lake Herman and Jackson got 1st place for biggest game fish, a 15 oz Bullhead!! Jordon got drawn for Little Fisher Boy and they also got names drawn for other prizes. Jackson won a new fishing pole with some small tackle and Jordon won a John Green print. I took pictures with my cell phone but this computer will not ever let me upload them here with out them being so blurry its unrecognizable!!
It was a fun time and they had a blast! Hope you all had a great weekend!

I often have to laugh at myself when I watch my video's, I wish the microphone wasn't so close to me!! HA! So I'm gonna take a post or two to share some video's I have taken in the last month or so. The first is of Duke, he is so cute...wish he could stay this way!! I will also post some of Julia and gymnastics she is really getting pretty good!! It's kindof long so you may want to skip parts!

Wow I haven't posted since the 20th and in 8 days I feel like I have a month of stuff to say!
The kids were done with school on May 21st and I now am the proud mother of a 5th grader, a 3rd grader and a 1st grader! Did you hear that...I am so amazed how fast this year went and how old my kids are getting... SERIOUSLY!! Janaya finished her 1st year of pre-school and will only have one more year of that before Kindergarten...I just keep saying it, trying to believe it! I cried when they came to the van the last day and they were waving their report cards yelling that they are now each a year older!! They have each grown and changed so much in each their own way, WAY TO GO GUYS!! MOMMY LOVES YOU ALL!!
We had a lovely Memorial Day weekend! We spent so much time as a family doing as much fun as we could find. We had picnics at the parks, went fishing twice and had a family cookout! The boys would go fishing everyday if we could! We are thinking about maybe doing some camping this weekend so I'm sure they'll get another chance.
I get so nervous about being at the lake, or mostly the tree's and tall grass that get me. This am Janaya was complaining about her head burning and itching and she kept crying about it, this started at like 6:30a I'd say. She kept going in and putting water on her head and trying to get rid of it, she came running in about 7:45 and said she had a Tick on her head! OMG NO!! I patted her head and told her to just lay down, which then I felt a bump and got up to check it more thoroughly and sure enough found the hugest Tick I have ever seen on a human!! I'm guessing she picked it up at the lake on Sunday! It took forever to get it out and she was screaming that it hurt, poor thing! Well now she has a little sore and it's all red and itchy. I put some stuff on it, I hope she doesn't get some kind of infection from it! It really bums me out I plan my life around BUGS!
Carpets are getting cleaned on Saturday am and I hate having the kids here when that happens, kids always want to touch things and get in the way, it's cool stuff! So the camping could be good because they would be gone, we'll see!
On to the BIG news, we got a Puppy! I am gonna take some pictures, I have them on my cell phone but not the camera yet. He is a Golden Retriever and is 4 weeks old! We decided to call him Duke and the kids are loving him up and doing really good with taking care of him! Will post pics soon! And if anyone needs a Lab/ Retriever mix there are 3 pups who need a home yet!! Have a good week!

Sometimes the things kids say are cute, or funny, sweet, and sometimes it's the pure innocence of a child that warms my heart! I have two special "stories" to share with you!
Janaya has been having trouble going to and staying asleep the last few weeks as she is afraid of the dark and monsters!? So we have been leaving the bathroom light on for her and sometimes the boys shut it off. So last night when she came in I was not surprised and just told her to go back to bed and turn the bathroom light on. She tried to talk but I cut her off and told her again. ( shame on me, I know) She quickly, sternly and sweetly said "but I don't know how to pray to Jesus!!" I know your hearts are melting, right?! Then Brit says "oh I told the other night that if she got scared to just pray to Jesus to make it better". I said " did you teach her how??" And he hadn't so I told her to get on my bed and I laid down with her and proceeded to teach her the bedtime prayer " Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep" and it was so fun! Then we had a talk about how she has been acting lately and decided to pray for help to be a nice girl to mommy and our friends, again we prayed! She then fell asleep with me and Daddy took her to bed!!
Now I tell you a story of my brave little man, Jackson! If you all know me you will know that I am most afraid of SPIDERS!!!! I am absolutely OCD about them and freak out beyond childish!! HA! Anyway this am I went into the bathroom and of coarse there is a BIG, UGLY, FAT SPIDER on the ceiling and my husband is at work till 1:30! Normally I would panic and start packing to leave, NO LIE!! Meanwhile Jackson (now rolling his eyes) says "I can get it mom". I told him he was too short and he said " nope, I just need the broom" I then voiced my concern that he would just knock it down and we wouldn't be able to find it and then I'd really freak cuz it could get me!! ( i know, i know) Of he went and a few minutes later he yelled it was done and to come see...OMG YIKES!! I went in and he showed me how he made it fall to the towel and then knocked it to the floor and "STOMPED" it dead!! HALLELUJAH!! He grabbed it with a tissue showed me and we enjoyed flushing it away! I know, I know grow up MOMMY!! But with little brave men I might just not have to..HA!
Have a Great Weekend!!

I know telling you all I'm busy is old news and probably getting boring by now but hey, I am!! Jackson got his glass and they look great, I took a picture with my phone but haven't gotten any on here yet! He put them on and said " Oh these work good, I can see" well GREAT because that's what they are supposed to do! HA!
We went to Fargo again this weekend as Brit's family was there to help move his sister Christa out of her apartment to a house for the summer! It was a great time having everyone together again, we hadn't seen Grandpa Cole for about 1 1/2 years!! The kids enjoy time with him and he is so good to them! We saw Grandma in December but to them thats FOREVER and a day. We had tons of fun swimming, laughing and even went to Chuckie Cheese! Saturday night we all went to my favorite the Olive Garden ...YUMMY!! The kids got to come along and did so good with manners! It's nice that they are getting old enough you can take them places like that and they are so well behaved! We came home Sunday all tuckered out and look forward to the next time.
Monday was back to the grindstone and is that ever hard! The kids are counting the days down till summer vacation only 2 weeks left of school. Janaya is done in about a week though! I can't believe her first year of pre-school is almost over, she has gotten so big and learned so much. I have noticed her vocabulary has expanded so much it's crazy! I love watching my children grow and learn!
Not much planned for the week I'm thinking Saturday we will go to Sioux Falls for groceries and such, I am gonna look at bikes for Jackson and Janaya I have looked online and they should have the Disney Princess in store so I'm sure we'll go with that! Will have to post some pictures. I have also been looking at swing sets as ours is so seen its last day. My mom bought it for Julia when she turned 4 and she will be 11 next month..WOW! I have narrowed it down to 2 of them and they are both at Walmart so who know we may come home with one of those too we'll have to wait and see!! I love this time of year and getting all geared up to play..play..play!! Have a great week!!

I keep telling myself that I need to make more time for my blog. I used to post all the time and I really enjoyed it and loved sharing our lives with you all!For months and months now I have been on what I like to call a "journey in life" and making changes in my life for the better for my family and myself. It's been a fun and interesting road. I know I'm not done but feel like so much has changed and the "hard" part is over!! I am sure of my calling in life...to be a Mother..Wife and and Am happy doing it! My daycare has taken off and is so rewarding, I feel like I have the best job I could ever ask for and feel so fortunate to be here for my family and love taking care of the children!! I started another 4 month old this week which brings me to 7 and I made a commitment for another baby to start in early July, mother is due end of May so I am considering myself full!! WOW I don't think since I started this almost 2 years ago I have been able to say that and feel comfortable in it!!
Jackson's glasses are in and I will be picking them up on Friday.. will post pictures next week!! He always looks so handsome in his glasses so I'm excited to see them.
Julia oh Julia what a week, I have never been so proud to be a mother and after this week feel like I am a good mom...I LOVE YOU JULIA RANAE!!!At gymnastics last week she received a note telling us she was doing so well in class they wanted her to come to a special class to have her skills evaluated and to see if she was ready for the Level 4 class and competition. She is in Level 2 now so she would skip 3!! They said we should be proud just to be asked and can you believe this is her 1st year?? Remember when she started WOW!! So we went and are waiting to hear the results, then it's decision time the cost is HIGH (fundraising would be needed) and the hours required for practice here and in Brookings is alot. I am so excited and proud!!
Then today I got a call from the Daily Leader that Julia was one of the winners in a Mother's Day Essay Contest and we get to go have our picture taken for the paper on Monday...how FUN!! I read the essay and of coarse cried...so much love Tudor...you are so special to me!!
Jordon and Janaya haven't been up to much, they are loving to play outside!! We set the trampoline last Friday and they have jumped all week!!! Janaya is riding her bike so well I am gonna look at the next size bigger, actually Jackson needs a big one too! They love to ride and always have. Both the boys started riding when they were 4 so they have both gone through a few..HA! I love Summer...fun times ahead. Hope everyone has a Great Weekend!!

I sometimes wish my blog was something I could dictate to and you all could just listen to my recordings and I wouldn't have to find time to sit and "type" it might just help me keep up better! Anyway it's been eventful around here as always and although I'm sure I'll not get to everything hopefully I get the important stuff out..HA!
Jackson had an eye appointment on the 4th and his little eye's are not any better. The right eye is not good but he can use it, the left eye on the other hand is "terrible" Dr.Larson said that if anything happens to his right eye he will be considered legally blind! Yikes!! So we are ordering new glasses which should be here within the week and he will wear them ALL the time and re-evaluate in July and if not better we will use drops daily to dilate the right eye to force him to use the left! Poor guy, I honestly don't know how he has been doing so well in school and reading, he just plain can't see!! I usually just got the plain glasses but this time despite the cost I am getting some better lenses and frames in hope of not breaking so easy and to help that eye!!
This weekend Brit and I enjoyed a night away and went to Sioux Falls to stay at the Ramkota, they have packages and one of them being "Treat Yourself To Romance" talk about nice and much needed time alone and relaxation! It was alot of fun and such a nice room. If you don't already know about it you should check it out and maybe splurge and enjoy....HA!
Today I had my return appointment for my arm and got my cast off..YAY!! It is starting to heal better so I will have to wear the brace a bit yet but that is ten times better than the cast!!
I got a few cute sayings from Janaya lately, the first was in church yesterday.
Pastor said "freedom of speech"
Janaya looks at Brit and said "Freedom of Peach, dad? Why?" Funny stuff!!
Last week when telling her all the things she needed to get on for school she looked at me, wiped her head and said " mom..ugh..you given me a headache"
Now this last one is "potty mouth" but I had to laugh probably because I felt the same way!!
Friday morning she got up and I showed her the "lovely" weather out the window and her reply was...." oh shit it's not spring anymore now" ( I know the word is bad but it was funny!)
Jordon and Julia don't have much new going on, they are both done with bowling for the year. I got a call that they have some trophies out at the bowling alley I need to go pick up so I will have to post pictures when we get those here! Have a great week!!

I feel like the blog and I have drifted apart over the weeks and have found if I want to see it I will have to force time for it..HA! It has been so busy here with Janaya turning 4 and having two parties. The older kids with bowling and other various activities. Making time for my family and everything in between. Last week we had an addition to daycare of a 3 month old baby boy "Trey" which couldn't have come at a better time for me!! I have been dealing with the baby blues which happens to me about 4 times a year around b-days of my kids!! Will post a pic of him on a slide show of Naya's bowling party pics! That was a big hit for all the kids and a ton of fun! Brit did a great job of helping all the little one's bowl!!
Having a baby has changed the schedule a bit I used to be able to post during nap time but he doesn't nap with them! He is kind of a Colic baby who LOVES to be held and will let you know if you put him down!! With 6 others little ones running around that is a challenge, but I'm up for it and actually rather be busy than not!
This weekend is looking to be fun, Brit and the kids are going to Grandpa's to help build the deck! Me, Mom, Steph, Courtney and Amanda are all going to Sioux Falls for a day of shopping, lunch and girl time. We have never done this so I am so excited and know we could all use it!! FUN!! Steph is expecting a baby boy in June so we got lots to buy..did I mention FUN!!??
Not much else going on this weekend, I teach Sunday school this week and that is always interesting!! Jackson has an eye appointment on Friday which is so needed so will have to update with that !! Have a Great Week!!

I wanted to get this posted yesterday but WOW what a busy day!! My precious baby turned 4 yesterday!! She has grown up so much and it just seems faster than my other children, probably because it's the last "baby"! I can't believe she is 4 yrs old, before I know it she'll be starting Kindergarten! We had a family party last night with a Barbie Mariposa cake and Saturday she will have a party with a few little friends at the bowling alley, that theme is Disney Princess!! Somewhere along the line this last year she forgot about Dora when she discovered Princess world awaiting!! It should be an exciting time. I will post some pics from last night and the video of her opening her Barbie Mariposa, she has been asking for it for a month now and I had to use every ounce of might I had to keep it hidden!! Very happy girl now!! Happy B-day Weenie, mommy loves you!!!

This post is a sad one that I have tried to start a few times today! Did you see the beautiful Rainbow last night?! If you didn't it was the biggest brightest rainbow I've ever seen!! And to me it was a sign that Rosco was at peace and running free up above now!!
On Monday afternoon Rosco got out AGAIN...if you don't know Rosco loves to run...run...run and has since the day we brought him home! He always comes right back or in when he's done and never hurts anyone. The most he's ever stayed out was over night and wants in right away. Well this time didn't go that way at all. First of all he refused to come in and despite numerous attempts absolutely no one could catch him! The Police were called on Tuesday am and I was given a ticket and instructed to get it dismissed I'd have to get rid of him! We did everything we could and had many different people attempting to catch him as well. On Wednesday am the cop was back and lot manager and animal control and this time there had been numerous reports that he is trying to bite people and attack other animals as well. He also tried to bite my sister and dad. Now I am being told and realized he had to be put down. Why is he biting and attacking...especially people he knows!! For sometime now I have wondered if he wasn't really sick, he's been spiking high temps and seems to be on his death bed then the next day normal??!! I have had him to the vet a few times and been told he was OK! So I don't know what was really wrong....and now never will. Yesterday Brit came home from work and we tracked and finally outsmarted him and caught him. We loved him and spoiled him as much as we possibly could and at 4 pm he was put down...or as I like to think set free to run and be free as he seemed to truly be happy roaming! So when I saw the rainbow last night I instantly got a feeling of relief knowing he was at peace...

You know usually in life a person loves to experience "firsts" as they grow...some firsts on the other hand not so much!! Today I got my first ever in 28 years....

One of the things with children and illness that scares me is FEVER'S and especially really high one's!! As of now I have two sick babies, Julia and Jackson. Julia is low grade now and she might try to go to school tomorrow, she has been home since Thursday!! Jackson is not so lucky, I took his temp about 30 minutes ago and it's 104!! It freaks me out, I gave him medicine but at what point do I take him to the hospital??? I feel like I should know the answers from years of parenting and past work experience but when I ask myself it's blank, and I call MOM!! I hope and pray this all goes away soon!! THINK SPRING!!!!!
Posted by the boedecker family at 8:46 PM 2 comments
I know there are plenty of you out there feeling the same pain and wishing the same thing...NO MORE SICKNESS!!! Julia has been feeling fine not even a sniffle right, she went to Gymnastics last night and came home and went to bed. This morning when I awoke she was laying behind me and looked HORRIBLE! I immediately took her temp after hearing her deep cough and it was 102.5. I called the clinic and made an appointment. They asked if I wanted the Influenza test and I said yes even though she said she was sure she had it and had all the classic symptoms. OK here is the good part she tested NEGATIVE!! Well the bad part is she won't treat her since it said that, we should have just treated it and not tested. She said she was so shocked and has had alot of this lately as it seems to be a new strand or one not picked up by the tests, GREAT! If she gets worse, can't breathe or not better in a week come back, omg seriously why do they have to say that every time!! Hopefully it gets better and not worse.
Tomorrow Jordon has an appointment with Dr.Ermer the Psychiatrist. This medicine has a few drawbacks but all in all seems to be working ok so I am sure he will continue with it. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Lately my little princess's are focusing on their "wardrobes" with great enthusiasm...HA! Janaya is forever discovering new fashions and when she see's something she has to have it! Julia is really voicing her particular like of certain looks. They both are "pretty" girls and like stuff I have never worn because I didn't like the way it fit and just wasn't provided with them! Now with 4 kids to buy clothes for these girls are killing me.HA! Posted by the boedecker family at 2:15 PM 3 comments
Wow this last week has brought much sickness for all, my family and daycare families as well. Good news is I think everyone has had it and it should be out the door. Jordon came home from school last week and I think he got hit the worst poor guy!
The kids enjoyed another busy weekend. Jackson had a b-day party on Saturday and the others had league bowling. On Sunday we hung out with Auntie Courtney and did some work around the house. Not much else going on I took some video of the boys I will post, you see they are both into "hip hop" lately and although I don't think they fully understand what it is or means they are truely "hip"! Ha!

I feel like there are lots of things I should have been posting about but haven't for some reason or antoher...oh ya it's called being a BUSY MOM!! HA!

flower lady??!! I got a
yes I did! OK onto the surprise, I will give him the card here but he has bowling tonight so I have talked with my Dad and since it's wrapped I hid it in his bowling shoe, now tonight when he goes to put on his shoe he will find a BIG surprise from Momma!! Oh I love romance, isn't it great?! Posted by the boedecker family at 1:53 PM 3 comments
This is a picture of what we are doing here today at the Boedecker household!! If you can tell from the picture....it's Frozen Pipes AGAIN!! We are working on thawing and waiting for a Plumber to fix some issues! As of now it's not looking good or CHEAP!! UGH!! And they said 6 more weeks of this didn't they??!!

Posted by the boedecker family at 1:12 PM 3 comments
Another week gone by which hopefully will make the 6 more we have to wait for Spring go by quickly...HA! This has been a tough week for me. Monday morning started normal but I felt a bit nautious and dizzy, by afternoon I knew I was heading for a Migraine so I took some medicine that would keep me "functionable" and by night was laid out completely! I took some stronger medicine before going to bed thinking it would all be ok the next day! Tuesday I woke feeling "hung over" like I usually do after a headache but thought ok on we go. Jordon was scheduled to see Dr. Blake in Sioux Falls that afternoon . By noon I was feeling it and had to call Britton home from work to drive us there because it was not an option for me.
We had our appointment with the doctor which was frustrating this time, they are not putting enough emphasis on problem areas or should I say not doing anything at all! I didn't get answers that I needed so I will just have to figure some plans out on my own, I think I will do some research on the problem behaviors and see if I can't come up with a behavior plan of my own!
Ok Tuesday evening when we got home I hit the couch ordered the lights be out and closed my eyes. When I woke up the kids were ready for bed so I tucked them in and took the rest of the medicine I had here and called to close my daycare for Wednesday, I have never done that so it was hard but I knew I was unable to give care for the children. Wednesday I woke up sick to my stomach, headache, dizzy you name it. I called the clinic and got an appointment for my self and Janaya (ear infection). While there she gave me a pill and a shot of Tordol, called in some more medicine and home I went. We slept till it was time to get the kids and I seemed to feel better. By 6p I was sick again and in bed. I took a pill then and then called the ER to see what else I could do, they said at 8:30p I could take another. So I took the strongest one I had here and off to bed I was at 9pm. Thursday Brit stayed home because I hadn't closed daycare as I thought I was gonna be better and needed his tender loving care!! By now it had settled in my neck and back but by late afternoon I was feeling like it was going to be ok! Friday is a new day, I feel some side affects but more my old self I did daycare and haven't had to take any medicine all day! I just think about how much "crap" I took all week and pray for my liver!!
It has been along time since I have had a Migraine like this, I actually think not since I was pregnant with Janaya!! It has been months since I have had one I think at all. My Doctor thinks it was probably brought on by the Stomach Flu as I seemed to have had symptoms of that. Gotta love the Winter Bugs! I'm praying for a new healthy week and looking up!
Next week brings Parent Teacher Conferences which I am looking forward to. The kids seem to be doing well in school and all like it! Hope everyone has a blessed weekend!!

Next have you seen these yep I'm sure you have or at least heard of them?!! Well Brit has wanted one for some time now and on January 20,2008 I bought him one! I am not one to buy gaming systems at that cost because I just don't understand how it is worth $400, maybe it's a women thing! But to make him happy and show my appreciation I obliged. Well on the night of the 21st we watched a movie in it and when it got done it wouldn't eject the disc! So he followed all the directions from the manual to get it out and still NO! Tuesday night he called Customer Service and they were surprised and said "oh that sucks" um yep sure does. But since it comes with warranty it is going to be replaced!!! Thank goodness for the good old warranty!!Posted by the boedecker family at 8:04 PM 3 comments

I can't believe I haven't posted on my blog in a week. I feel like I have kind of forgotten about it in my "life transition" that I am going through. I have been going through many changes lately or as my dad said "getting wiser"! So much has been going on as far as relationships with friends and some family some being good and some bad, but in healing in each ones way!
We have been working hard on being better people and parents, and getting more involved in our church. The kids are really enjoying Sunday school and learning alot every week. I am getting in the groove of teaching and we got a good schedule down now. We have been attending church every week and not just going to Sunday school which was important to us for the kids!!
I have been evaluating myself as a person, mother and friend alot lately and excluding the negatives in my life which has made me feel so much better and I feel so much more energized now. Today is day 29 of no smoking, tomorrow is my month mark!!! YAY!! I feel like it has been so much longer and I am noticing things all the time that are getting better! Brit is going just as strong and feels just as great!! I thank everyone friends and family for the support and positive feedback as we have taken this step of control!!
We celebrated my niece Natylie's 3rd b-day on Friday and I got to use the video camera now that the memory card got here. I am so glad I got this and look forward to many more memory capturing moments!! Julia and Jordon started bowling again for the 2nd half of the year on Saturday, Jackson got to spend the day with Grandma and Papa ice fishing!!
Yesterday I had my surgery under my arm for that cyst. I ended up with a 3 inch incision and 7 stitches. It was bigger then i had anticipated but it is gone now and hopefully won't come back. Brit stayed home again today to help with daycare and take care of me, I am so blessed to have such a wonderful helpful man!! Thank you Brit!!!
Well that is all I can think of right now I will try to keep up better now that things seem to be on track for me! Oh Friday afternoon Janaya and I are getting haircuts by Kerrie, super excited girls we are!! Have a good rest of the week!!

Thanks for the information Tracy, I tried to watch one after I read your comment and the same thing happend. I went back to You Tube and switched from Private to Public then it let me watch them here. So it was just working....if it does it again let me know!! I might just have to go sledding again and make some more...HA! Happy Monday!

I got a Digital Video Camera for x-mas so I tried it for the first time sleding this weekend! I only got short video's it is work in progress!! We also had a few collisions this time one Janaya and a tree...OOPS, then Janaya took Jackson out which you see in one of the videos! They still had a great time...HA!

...in a one horse open sleigh....well we didn't quite have it that good but it was fun. Saturday was deemed a Boedecker Family day and we started by going sledding by the Playhouse. You know I have lived here for many years and never gone up there but the kids have been asking so I thought sure why not! Oh my gosh what a fun time, for EVERYONE!! I have never heard such laughter and holy wow do they get going FAST!! I was so nervous to let Janaya go but she laughed and giggled the whole way, you just had to be at the end to stop her or she would go on forever....HA! I even managed to go down once! Oh to be a kid again! I don't know how many times Brit had to walk back up that hill I do know it is a "big" hill! I think we will have to do it again very soon! And then I will have to remember the CAMERA!!! That night we took them to Alvin and The Chipmunks....OMG CUTE!!! They laughed and laughed it was so great. Janaya wanted to go the "store" when we left the theater to buy it and was so upset that we just couldn't do that! I wish it didn't take so long for the movies to come out on DVD!
Sunday was a relaxing day and the kids enjoyed more time outside! They are getting a bit anxious for break to be over now and it will be sooner then they know.
I hope everyone has a great New Year's Eve I am looking forward to ringing it in with my hubby oh and as a Non-Smoker...HA! Still going strong and feeling great about it!! See you next year....

First off I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas!!
I have been so busy I have completely forgotten my blog. We had a great Christmas here at the Boedecker's. We enjoyed Christmas Eve with my mom and step dad and all the aunties, uncles and cousins. We went to church then for supper at Grandma's and finally the kids got to open presents, I honestly don't think they could wait any longer! HA!
Christmas Day we spent home as a family and it was so nice. The kids got everything they asked "Santa" for and much more, truly blessed I must say!
Now to my title of this post....drum roll please....today is the 10th day of "NO SMOKING"!! I (we Brit too) have had no cigarettes what so ever for 10 days! I am feeling pretty strong about it now and think I am gonna make it this time! Cold Turkey is the hardest thing to overcome but if the will is there nothing can stop me and I got it this time. I must say I am PROUD of the both of us and I am gonna keep saying it!!!! I am not craving much at all anymore, I smell GREAT and don't taste like an ashtray!!!
Last night I returned bowling and it went pretty well, little sore today. It was nice to be out with the girls again. It was hard to sit with them as everyone of them smoke!! I did really well and actually didn't "want" one, the smell made me sick. Anyway it will be nice to be back bowling as I do enjoy it!
Jordon had an appointment yesterday with Dr. Ermer a child psychiatrist in Sioux Falls. It went pretty good and he has some good plans on how to try to help Jordon. He did start him on a new medicine to go with his Concerta so I am a bit nervous but trying to stay optimistic! The new one is called Geodon and is supposed to help with controlling OCD symptoms. We will see him again in 2 months unless he starts having problems before then or the med causes problems. We also see Dr.Blake in February.
Anyone got big plans for New Year's? As of now we are planning to spend some time with the kids and then go out to the bowling alley to see some friends and family. Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday and great starts to the new year!!

I got a call from Dr. Blake on Friday late afternoon and they changed their minds about admitting him right now. He said if we can avoid it around the holiday we should do our best. So we are keeping a close eye on him and giving it our all. He will see Dr. Ermer a child psychiatrist the day after Christmas and start working with him as well. We started his new Concerta dose on Friday and so far so good!

I'm back...sort of!! Wow what a week this has been for me, so many emotional up and downs, mostly downs!! Last week my best friend of 12 years said the most hurtful words I have ever heard, or would even say to my worst enemy! It has been building for quite some time and I finally stood up to her and told her things I know she didn't want to hear! She really needed to hear them and if nobody was going to do it who better then your BFF right? I was truthful and standing up for myself as well as her daughter. Well in retaliation she called me and said things about my "disabled" son that I WILL NOT repeat!! After I hung up on her I slammed my fist into the cupboard 3 times and balled uncontrollably. When it was all said and done with I was sure my arm was broke, and to the doctor I went! Luckily for me it's not broke but bruised really bad. One of the xrays was really questionable but they still said not broke! So last week I was wrapped and in a sling all week with little to NO use, talk about painful and impossible! This week I am down to a wrist splint but much more use, and tolerable pain! I am getting more and more use every day. I was so upset at myself for doing that but when I repeat to myself what was said I can't help but think any mother would do the same! As for the friendship its done forever, it honestly should have been that way many years ago. Too many lies, manipulations and wrong doings have gone on and I deserve better then that and won't stand for it anymore. I know in my heart have much better friends out there! The sad part is I don't even miss her, I actually feel a huge burden is lifted!
I haven't been able to lift much more then "a pair of pants" with it yet so I haven't bowled the last 2 weeks either, talk about crazy.
Now onto my latest heartbreak, Jordon! Most of you know Jordon's disabilities and also that he has had many behavior issues all his life. Well we are having much troubles lately and he has actually become a danger to himself and others at times. After visiting with his doctor it has been decided he needs Inpatient Treatment and evaluations. He would like to admit Jordon to the Avera Adolescent Behavior Unit in Sioux Falls for an indefinite amount of time, and then possibly to the Children's Home Society after an Acute stay at Avera! Right now he is thinking Monday for an admission date but I will know for sure on Friday. As sad and heartbreaking as this is especially with Christmas being so close it is for the best and will make a huge difference in his life too! If Monday is the day then on Sunday after their church Christmas program we will have a mini holiday for Jordon and let him open his gifts! This is one of the hardest things I have had to do with Jordon, he has gone thorough this 3 other times but not for more than a month! Please pray for Jordon and his healing!! I will keep you posted on him as I know more!
Not much else has been going on here. We are going to Fargo on Saturday as Brit's cousin is getting married! There is lots of his family I haven't met yet and will get to this weekend so that should be fun! The kids will get to swim and enjoy Grandma Davis also. Oh did I mention water slides?? YES!! Well I am feeling like I am over doing it will post tomorrow when I get some news!

The lesson learned is never get so angry you lose control and hurt yourself!! At this point I really can't sit and tell the whole story but do intended to when I am able! It appears I might have broken my arm so this is hard as it is!! I am "lefty" only right now and also lost a longtime friend! I will be taking a short break till I am able to do this with out pain or get it figured out! I hate to keep you wondering and hope all are well! See ya soon!!!
