Dr. appt

Today Brit stayed home in the morning so I could go to the doctor as I was tired of feeling this way. I went and saw Mitch Poppens and after he checked me over and I told him how it's been a few weeks of this same stuff he said you should have come in sooner, I said "You shouldn't go on vacation when Im sick"...lol! He chuckled and said that this could flare up another batch of migraines if we don't get it under control, which has already started so he gave me an antibiotic. I told him how Brit has the same thing and he said that he would just call in a script for him too so he didn't have to come in and pay for an office call. That is so nice, I really like him and he has been real good to us. So hopefully this stuff will clear out soon. I am taking daycare kid's again this week so I will need my health to survive...lol!

Janaya is getting better she is just dealing with the cough but that will probably take some time to go away totally. I survived the weekend without Brit and am so glad to have him home. He let me rest till my appt this am and cleaned a whole bunch, then went to work. I swear I must be one of the luckiet women in the world (other's prob say the same) to have a sweet helping husband like Brit...love you dear!! Well the kid's need help picking up before they bathe so I will close for now!

Oh what a weekend!

This has been a long weekend so far!! Brit is gone at a bowling tournament in Alexandria Minnasota and will be home sometime today! I am still not feeling very well it seems to be getting worse! I f I could find time to go to the doctor I would. Last night I went to Flandreau with some girlfriend's and that was fun, I think I left the machine at least 10 times to blow my nose!! But I came home with some money so I geuss that isn't too bad. When we went over there the roads weren't too bad but coming home at 2am was horrible!! It took us anhour to get here from Flandreau, but we made it safely so that is good. The kid's stayed at my sister's so that was kindof weird when I got home to be all alone you would think it would be nice but I really didn't like not having them here when I got home!! My sister called me at 8am and said "They are up come get them" lol!

We will see what this week brings, this sickness is starting to get old and taking along time to leave! Parent's are wanting to bring there kids to daycare and it has not been an option. What can you do though, I don't want anyone else to catch it if possible!

Sick..Sick!

Well the bug is still here! Janaya is doing better temp wise but her cough is really deep and keeps her up at night! So needless to say sleeping here hasn't been so well. Julia is feeling better too. I am feeling not so hot today I think it is catching up to me. I am sending my nephew's home today as they have caught it too. My other daycare kid's have not been here most of the week mostly to prevent the spread of it.

I threw my ball pretty well last night. I thought I would drop it but didn't. I actually did really well, my finger's are sore today but that will get better as I get used to it. For those of you not familiar with bowling I got my finger holes changed from a standard drill to fingertips and now throw a hook ball as well. Hoepfully my game will get better too! Well gotta go for now.

Poor Baby!

My poor Janaya has been dealing with this cough for over a week and yesterday she started with a temp. Today she got up and it was 102.4 so I called to get an appt and of coarse her doctor is full today. So we went with someone else and was that a waste of time. She did a chest x-ray and blood work and said she has fluid in her lungs which looks like the start of pneumonia but we'll go with viral Bronchitis. She wouldn't give her anything and talked Brit out of doing a Influenza test!! Well tonight she woke up and it was 103.5!!! I freaked and called mom at work and she had me talk to a RN about it. She suggested that if it got any higher than that or didn't come down more than 1 degree that I bring her in tonight! She also couldn't believe she didn't do a Influenza test! So here I am watching her close and trying to keep her from coughing all over so not to spread it to everyone. Julia came home from school before lunch with a temp and headache and Brit stayed home today because he didn't feel well either. I'll have to keep my fingers crossed and hope that it is not to high when I check her next, I really don't feel like taking her to the ER tonight. I am seriously thinking about starting to doctor in SF on a permant basis.

Daycare has been busy and I got a call about a 6 week old baby too, not sure if I feel like another baby or kid at this point but we'll see I have time to think it over! I have kid's in the day time, evening and 3 overnighter's too! I feel like I never have time off!! Yesterday didn't go to bad just busy constantly cleaning and was ready for bed when Brit got home!!! LOL! Well it's time to relax for a bit...gonna stay up and take her temp when it gets close to wearing off to see what it is gonna do, I can't go to sleep knowing it will wear off and she could sky rocket!! SCARRY!!

Already?

I can't believe the weekend is almost over! We were so busy I didn't even have time to think about it till now. My sister Courtney got married yesterday and as if the ceramony wasn't busy enough we had a reception and dance at the VFW too! She called me Sat morning at 10:30 and asked if Julia had a pink dress? I said no and she said to find one because she needed her to be in the wedding now to help with getting Brayden and Natalye down the isle (they were her ringbearer and flower girl also her kids). They are 8 months and 2 years, so it actually took me and Julia to get this done but it was so cute and fun! Anyway I found a dress and all went ok. The kids had a blast dancing the night away with friends and family. Mom and Dad just hung out and had a few drinks, well Dad a few more...lol! We got to dance which is so nice and rarely done. I should get a picture of this sometime, imagine him 6' 5" and me 5' 4" but we love it anyway!! By 11:00 Janaya had had enough and was so tired she asked to go home so we did. They slept till 9am which was nice too.
Today I got up and slowly got myself moving and headed to Walmart with Julia and my sister Amanda for the finishing of the grocery shopping. While I was there I spotted the cutest Dora swim suit with a cute little (plastic so it can get wet) grass skirt, how could I pass this up? She was so excited and has been wearing it since!!
Britton was busy cleaning and working on the laundry while I was gone and that was so nice! Thank you dear!! He isn't feeling so well yet so hopefully that moves on soon. I am dealing with another sinus infection as well. I have babysitting kid's tonight and that has created lots of excitement too. Well another load is waiting to be folded so I best hop to it...lol!

Mail

I got the most exciting mail today...our Larry the Cable Guy ticket's arrived!! Yiippee!! Now just don't loose them, right?LOL

ERRR!

I can't even count how many time's I have said that word today!! It has not been a smooth day that is for sure. The kids were home from school and not well behaved at all. We were supposed to go snow mobileing after Brit got home with my brother in law. I told the kid's like 3 time's if you don't start listening and being good you will not get to go, and they must not have taken me serious and proceeded with their behavior's. I have a hard time sticking to my guns and following through with my threats and I have been working hard on this so today I stuck with it and said they couldn't go but that since Julia had been good she still could. So Brit and Julia went and I stayed with the kids here. You would think that would curb the attitude's but NOT!! But I am glad I stuck with it anyway!!

Then we were supposed to go to Brooking's for groceries and what not's, did you notice the weather? We started to go but decided to come back home. I stopped and got cat food at Pamida because he can't go with out and noticed that the price differance was like $3.oo from Walmart! Then I stopped at Jubilee to get a few things to hold us till Sunday, HOLY COW I so understand why it is I go to Walmart!! LOL! I was so shocked at the price differ and the selection was so bad. Needless to say this day has really bummed me out.

Days like today really make me think about how people always say " I don't know how you do this" or "You must be nuts to do this all the time" and my favorite is " And you want another baby?" I don't have anwers for these question's most of the time other than they are my kid's and I am doing what I love to do. It does take alot of patience, time, energy, love, understanding and I need to be able to have "me" time! I did this for alot of years on my own and now can't imagine how I did. I am sure I was meant to be doing what I am and that is being the best mother I can be and enjoying the reward's of seeing them grow! I pray for the strength ability to bring my children and the children I care for up right and with love and understanding. I just had to share my thoughts outloud there...

Tomorrow my sister Courtney is getting married here in town. I am her personal attendant...whatever that might entail..lol! Julia bowls then I am sure we will be busy. I am gonna try to get to Walmart on Sunday morning to finish my shopping. Have a good weekend!!
This is me and Janaya on Valentine's Day!

This is Baby Cooper chilling in the sink while I blow dry my hair...we spiked his with gell!!!

HE'S FAST!

Well I can say the dog is fast...to fast...lol! Last night he chased a rabbit out of the fence and despite Brit's long legs the dog was gone. He went out looking for him in the van and I waited nervously. About an hour later I heard this weird noise and went and opened the door to find Rosco wanting in!! I was so relieved, shortly after that Brit came home expecting to have to let me down and he was just as shocked, dogs must have a sense that is beyond explainable. Today he got let out by Jackson once and Janaya twice and does the same thing if the gate is open, but he stays right around the trailer. If you try to get him he takes off though, and when he's done he comes to the door and scratches to be let in. I now have to try to get her to understand that you CAN'T open the door for the doggy unless mommy helps her. Her reply is "he has to potty mommy"! It doesn't help to lock the door because she can reach it to unlock it!!?? Other than that he's been perfect, he goes to the door and scratches it when he needs to go out... I love it!! I went and bought him some toys and grooming stuff today and also some rawhide bones, I must have gotten them too small as he has chewed 1 up completely already...but he was so excited so that makes it worth it!! He is a shedder too so hopefully a good bath and brushing will cut that down some if not like Tracy says I just have to vacum daily...lol!!

It's A Boy!

I'd like to introduce the newest member of the Boedecker family, meet Roscoe! He's a 3 year old Shar-Pei who was in need of a loving home. We have some friend's who have 2 of them and I had said I wanted one and they gave me this add info they had found about him and the best part was he is FREE!! These dogs are pretty expensive so we were totally shocked! He is great with kids and very loveable. We have been wanting another dog ever since our precious Chico was killed and finally found one that fits what we need. He has been passed around quite a bit the last few months so I am sure it will take time for him to feel at home! The cat is less than pleased with us but he will have to get over it, as he has in the past! Roscoe wants to play with him and the cat is not having that, must be a rule of thumb or something!! LOL! Anyway the kids are thrilled and I think he will fit in nicely!!

I can't wait!

After Brit got home last night I brought up that Larry the Cable guy was gonna be in SF and he got excited and said he'd heard it on the radio at work and wanted to go! I was glad and the only reason I brought it up was because I don't spend that kind of money with out asking first...lol! So I told him my plan and after discussion we decided that it would be both our gifts to eachother and I got back online and bought the tickets, so YES we are going to go and I can hardly wait!! May is a few months away but hopefully it will go fast. We don't get to do things like this very often so it will be a very nice treat!!!

Today the kid's had early out at 12:25 so our nap time is a bit thrown off but that is okay! We picked up some Mcdonald's and are just enjoying a quiet time. Brit will be home in about 20 minutes so I best pick up a bit!

Gift idea?

I have been struggling with what to get Brit for Valentines day this year and not coming up with anything!! Well tonight on my e-mail I got a notice from Ticketmaster about Larry the Cable Guy coming to Siouxfalls in like May but I can buy tickets now! We both love him and have never seen him live. I really want to pull out the credit card and order them and surprise him! Does that sound good enough for Valentines Day????!!!

Conferances

I had parent teacher conf. tonight and they went pretty good. Julia is doing just fine and the only thing she needs to work on is particiating more in class discussion. Miss Howard said it's not that she doesn't know the answers she is just shy...lol..just like her mommy. She brought her Math up to a B+ too!

Jordon is doing well academically but is showing regression in the behavior and self abuse area's again for some reason. He has been acting tired again and it's odd because he's been sleeping very well. He is adding and substracting on his own now so I am super excited about that. He is also reading small words on his own so that is wonderful too. If we could just get his behavior under control we'd have it made. They said they also introduced him to a girl with Austism for an activity and he worked very well with her and was happy to help her when they asked him too so that was nice to know too. It's a constant learning cycle with Jordon that alway's throw's you a new loop to figure out...

Fieldtrip to Prostrollo's

Jackson had a fieldtrip today at Prostrollo's and I got my mom to come in and sit with kids so I could go along! I can't make all of them but I try to when I can and I am glad I did! They are learning about community helper's and car dealer's fit into that catagory especailly since they fix them too (say's teacher Kelli). Anyway he talked to them about selling cars and then started the tour, all the kids loved the orange Corvette in the showroom go figure!! And the animal display was huge too. He then took them into the body shop and my Dad came out, Jackson was so excited to tell everyone that his Grandpa works there. The funny part was that when teacher Kelli said Jackson's Grandpa works here too he said "and he bowls" I busted up and said "yep that sure sums it up " it was so cute!! After that he took them to the conferance room and told them that is where they have their meeting's and told them to have a seat. They were all so excited to be sitting in these big turning chairs...lol! He said now they were car seller's, I asked Jackson if he was gonna sell car's when he got older and he said "no I'm gonna play football" (he then looked at the blonde girl across the table) "and you can be my cheerleader". I laughed again it was totally cute!! He is defiantely a boy!! The other funny thing he said was about the boards they had on the wall that had all the dealers names and there numbers on them, he said " mom they don't know how to make their calander right, cause that is wrong". He was very quick to tell Mr.Draper that too!! Sometimes kid's are so hilarious and they are just being themselves and most of all innocent!!

Anyway it was a good time and I am glad I didn't miss it...

Hair Update!

I had a hair appt tonight to try to fix this mess I made! I went to Diane Ullom at Cottage Cuts and she did amazing! My hair looks really good right now and I even got the cut I have been wanting. She didn't put highlights in it tonight but with the color she used and what came through it looks like she did and it is so pretty! Glad that is over with...Brit was a little upset at the price but it was so worth it!! LOL!!

This is not the best picture of me but here's the end
product!! Thanks Kari for sitting and visiting!!

The "you never buy us anything" tour!!

Last night Jordon wanted to go buy a remote control airplane and I said no for a few reason's but the point is I said no, right?! Well after thinking about it for awhile I decided to try something to show HOW much I do buy them! So I got them together and said we were gonna take a tour of our toys!!

Keep in mind we live in a mobile home that is 16' by 80' so we are cramped to begin with!! We started a the back in the girls room and needless to say we found more toys than they need!! In the bathroom we found dolls and books!! Then we went to the boys room where the toyboxes are over full and toys are on the floor because there is nowhere to put them!! So onto the Livingroom where of course there are toys on the floor and a basket of them as well for small daycare kids!! They also have a variety of movies and a v-smile and Dora game for the TV! Then we moved onto the kitchen where there was a slipper in the sink and trucks on the floor and Jordon's tools were on the table. We then moved to mom and dad's room where you would think there would be no toy's but to everyone's surprise there were! So then I asked who still thought I don't buy them anything and only 1 had something to say...yes the one who needs to go get a remote control airplane...lol!!

The only other thing of interest this weekend was that I dyed my own hair and tried to put highlights in it!! I now have redish, purple hair with orange streaks....not cool! I am going to get it stripped tonight as soon as my husband gets home to relieve me!!! I will never do this again as I am so embarrassed to even be seen!! The things I do for excitement....

Picture?

How do I put a picture on my background page for all to see? I know how to put it on a post but not my main page???

I can't believe what I heard?!

I was never really popular when I was younger in school and it always bothered me. I was not thin and pretty like the other girls and didn't have the name brand clothes they all did either. I have always tried to give my kids what I didn't have and have tried to teach them to be nice and except everyone no matter what they look like or what they wear because it probably isn't their fault and everyone deserves a chance!! It helps to know that Julia is pretty and will never have to worry about weight and she has plenty of friends as well. Normally she is very nice for instance last week in gym class the kids were sitting in circle and nobody would sit by this "big" boy Nick so Julia stood up and said she was gonna go sit by him because noone should have to sit alone and then the class formed a complete circle and included him. I was so proud and the teacher thanked her as well. Well yesterday she was on the phone with one of her friends who is like the girls who were mean to me...has money and all the right clothes and just thinks she is better than everyone else...and they were both looking at their class pictures discussing pictures and who they like. Then I heard Julia say now let's name the people we "hate" and started naming off kid's names, all the one's she named were the not so pretty or cute one's and the one's that dress different or are let's just say nerdy!! She laughed at what her friend said in response and thought nothing of it. I couldn't believe that she was being so mean, and I know the kids didn't hear it but just the thought of it was not nice. When she was off the phone I asked her why she would do that and she thought about it and did feel bad that she had done it, but she also said but they didn't hear it mom!! I again tried to teach her that even though they don't hear you it's not nice and explained how God would feel about hearing her say that about his people...she really thought about it and said I was right. I am afraid that she will be a follower because she knows what is right she just follows what her friend tells her to do. I do however know that she can do the right thing if she stay's strong!
I know we can't prepare them for everything and they have to learn somethings on their own as well I just wish we could make sure they would be on the right path all the time...

3 of the 4

Yep 3 of the 4 are not feeling well. Julia still has a temp and the other 2 have the same stuff. Cooper is still sick so at least I don't have babysitting kids to deal with too. My evening kid got sick last night and totally got my couch and floor...thank goodness I was still gone at bowling so Brit had to deal with it!! LOL...sorry Brit! Well gotta get Janaya some more juice....
