Not much is planned for tonight as he has bowling. When we went out on Friday we knew it was for both of us! I am hoping when Courtney gets here tonight its not too late and she can sit with the kids so I can at least go spend some time with him at the bowling alley. Happy Birthday honey I love you!!!

They Are Home...

What a great weekend we had! The kids got home Sunday night, well we picked them up at 6p in Sioux Falls! I don't know how soon Kenny will do that as Jordon gave them quite a run and left stuff broken! All in all they had a great time and missed mommy alot!! Lots of hugs and kisses!! When we got home we put up the Christmas tree and other holiday decorations around the house! I took a picture but don't have it on here yet....I know I am slacking!!

Over the weekend Brit and I got lots accomplished here at home. We got the boys room painted except for one wall which will be easy to get finished. I will have to take a picture now that I got it all put back together! We got lots of cleaning done and spent much needed quality time together as well.
Friday morning I spent alone...no daycare kids as well!! Kari popped over for about an hour to bring me our cake....AWESOME!! Friday afternoon we went to SF and ate at the Olive Garden and then went over to Penny's and each got something for our b-days! I am now 28 and he will be 27 tomorrow!! We got home about 8p and then went and visited Jill and Andy for a bit.
Saturday we lounged ALOT and then went over to Flandreau for a few hours that night.
Sunday was cleaning, painting and putting stuff in the shed for winter! We were going constantly from 10a till we finally got ready to go for the day at 4P!!! It was a good time but I was so anxious to see my babies! I didn't even talk to them on the phone this time so I was feeling the empty spot. I enjoy the alone time with Brit but I tell you if I didn't have the kids things would get mighty boring around here in a quick hurry!

Today is definitely Monday and everyone is in full force here!! I hope everyone had a great weekend as well!

Listen Do You Hear That?

That is the sound of peace and quiet, and no kids! Happy Thanksgiving Everyone! We had a wonderful day visiting and spending time with family first at my mom's then my dad's! I got to do plenty of cooking and cleaning up oh and eating! Tonight the kids left with Uncle Kenny and Aunt Jill for the weekend in Parkston! We will pick them up Sunday at 6p in Sioux Falls! I plan to get lots done this weekend and enjoy some quality time with my wonderful hubby!! YAY! Also tomorrow is my 28th birthday!! So a definite supper at Olive Garden is in line, after that I don't know maybe some shopping??!!

We had a pretty good week. Julia had a musical on Monday for Thanksgiving and it was great as always. She got to dance the Tango and did great!
I called Dr.Blake about Jordon's med also, things were heading for disaster! He is taking him of the Prozac, Thank God!! You would not believe the change I am seeing already, amazing, he brought home a good report from Mrs. Fjerstad and Mrs. Wilkens on Friday...YAY Jordon!! Things at home have been better too!
Janaya is sprouting a cold so she has been so stuffy and a bit crabby the last few days, hopefully it clears fast for her! Jackson has had a quiet week, he has been working on his letters, rhymes and math like crazy this week, he is so intrigued by learning new things it is so awesome to see!!

I hope everyone had a good and blessed holiday!!

Conferences!!

Thursday night we had parent teacher conferences and with 3 kids they always schedule them weird, this year it was 6p..6:15 and 6:30! For some reason it never works out that way and someone always has to wait for us to get down to them!!

I'll start with Julia! Mrs. Eich had the most amazing things to say about her! She said she is her best student and is the most beautiful caring little lady! She looks for Julia to win most of the barn trips if not all of them, WOW that is better then I thought she was doing and looking way into the future!! She brought me to tears more then once, I am so proud of the little lady she is becoming! Her grades are wonderful and according to a reading test they were given she is proficient at the 6th to 7th grade level and she's only in the 4th grade...AMAZING!!! Mrs. Eich told Julia she will go far in life and she is such a people person that she should be a doctor or someone who works with people, again I cried! I just couldn't be more proud!!

Jackson was next with Mrs. Osteberg. She had wonderful things to say about Jackson and how quickly he catches on to everything and actually needs to be challenged! She said "IT's like he is taking over his own education and running with it" ! WOW! She said at the beginning of the year he would play at play time now he sits and writes and tries to read and sound out words to spell! She said he is mastering what he has to know and much more, a very intelligent little boy! The only thing he needs to continue working on is more gentle play at recess, he tends to be rough but is getting much better! YAY Jackson!!

Now onto Jordon with Mrs. Fjerstad and Mrs. Wilken's. I am very frustrated with this conference and will try my best not to put my foot in my mouth! I am tempted to call and maybe set up a time to meet with them and discuss a few things but I am not exactly sure if the things I'd like to see change are possible, maybe I need to do some more research on my options! First of all in was very impersonal, I got the negative feeling right away that my son is an inconvenience and hasn't done any good since the beginning of the year! You see Jordon had a med change 3 weeks ago and since hasn't been the most pleasant or well behaved boy! And Jordon did cause some issues that will be quickly resolved but are you telling me he has done nothing posative?! Mrs. Fjerstad had a folder of papers and didn't pull out a single one!! She showed me his self evaluation and the handwriting guidelines and that is it! The conversation then went to the last 3 weeks and nothing else was discussed! Now I know from the papers he has brought home he is doing something right I just wish she had taken the time to share it with me. I honestly feel that the only way I will get anywhere is to work and talk only with Mrs. Wilkens! I am so hurt and frustrated I don't know what to do, I don't want to send him to Children's Care for school but sometimes Madison School District doesn't seem to be as concerned about this as I do!! I know there are some really great teachers and staff there but it's the ones that aren't that hinder children like my Jordon...

I hope everyone's little one's are doing well. Have a great weekend!!

Every Two Years.....

Today was my appointment with Dr. Sumerer about that cyst under my arm. OK first of all I KNOW I should have gone in about 6 months ago but I have such a time dealing with myself when I have too many other people to be taking care of! Well the outcome is it is not a quick office fix and I will again be going under the knife! UGH! The area is going to be too large for a local or for me to be awake...talk about scary!! So on Dec 11 I will be getting it done!
Now the title of this post, I will give you a quick history: in 1997 I had my gall bladder removed: in 2001 I had a c-section: 2003 I had a blockage removed from my sinus: in 2004 I had another c-section and in 2006 I had a hysterectomy! It's like every two years I have to have surgery, how do I break this chain of unfortunate events?! I know I need to take better care of me but this is just not right! On the other hand the surgeon knows me well enough and I trust him so that takes alot of worry out of the process!

Enough about that, this weekend we got the bathroom done!! Julia's room needs just a few area's touched up and it will be done too...YAY! I plan to get started on the hallway and the boys room this week!! The boys room is the worst so maybe that first then I can list the place for sale because it would be presentable then!! Guess I should get busy then.....

Before I go a quick Janaya funny or two: Naya had just woke up from a nap!

Jordon: Janaya today we...

Janaya: I don't care...

Jordon: Just listen at...

Janaya: I don't care...

Jordon: WILL YOU STOP THAT AND LISTEN TO ME:

Janaya: I said I DON'T CARE....

Jordon gives up and says "geez you are so rude"

Lesson learned, don't talk to her when she awakenins as she don't care!!

Later on when Brit and I were discussin painting "Julia's" room she stood here listening and looking rather puzzled. Finally after a few minute she said "mommy I know thats my room too" Oh goodness I didn't mean it to sound like she didn't have a room, YIKES! At least she knows! Have a good week!

Veteran's Day

I will start this post with a Thank You to all Veteran's of our country! I would especially like to Thank my brother, Kenny and to let you know how proud of you I am and how much we all love you! I am honored you are my brother and have the utmost respect for you! I also pray for the men and women still at war for our country, God Bless You ALL!!

Uncle Kenny and the kids when he was on leave.....Dec 2004!

This is the only pic I have of him in Uniform...

Now on to our busy Monday. Since Brit is home from work today and my mom was able to watch Brayden and Natalye we headed to Sioux Falls with Janaya. I was told of this place called Habitat Restore that sells material and supplies for the home at discount prices. I looked it up online and found it looked legit so we thought it would be worth checking out. I am so glad we did as we got 2 bedroom doors, a towel rack and toilet paper holder, paint for the boys room (dark grayish blue) and the hinges as well for less then $40!! WOW!! We then went to Walmart for some more white paint and wall patches and misc and spent less then $40 there too!! Talk about a visit from the "bargain" fairy!! HA! Anyway I was very pleased and can see a light in this tunnel again, with those kinds of prices and knowing we can get the rest of what we need there I think things will get done quicker then it looked. The bathroom is done for the most part and tonight I will finish painting Julia's room!! I will have to take pic's when I get closer her room being done!!

Belated Anniversary!

I realized today when reading baby Jack's birthday post that I had to have been blogging for at least a year because I remembered his birth announcement post! So I went back and found that I indeed started posting on November 1st 2006! So Happy Blogging Anniversary to me!! This last year has been so many things! I have met lots of neat people, rekindled old friendships, learned of some school mates happenings, and learned alot about myself as well! I look forward to many more posts and wonderful days of blogging with you all! Thank you for being a part of my life and for letting me be apart of yours!

Do not follow me I may not lead...Do not walk in front of me I may not follow...Walk beside me and be my friend... I saw this saying today and found it to be inspiring!!

She's A Beauty...

I have to give Kerrie a BIG thank you for a very wonderful job on my hair! I have never been so happy about my hair! It put a huge smile on Brit's face as well...YAY! The picture I am posting doesn't show it as well as I had hoped but it looks great!

Not much else has been going on here this week, I got some painting done but it is taking alot longer then I thought! This weekend Jackson has a b-day party to go to so he is super excited about that! I am hoping to get some much needed cleaning and painting done here as well! Hope everyone has a great weekend!!
