Busy Weekend

Wow we have had a busy weekend! On Friday I headed to Brooking's for the groceries once again! Saturday we spent alot of time outside with the kids after meeting with the realtor (see previous posts on that). We hung out with Jill and Andy and it was a good day. Sunday we played outside forever I think and then went over to my mom's so the boys could practice casting with their new poles before the camping trip! That evening we took the kids and Lydia to see Shrek 3 and that was a very good time! Monday we set the new tent up so that we had some idea of what we were doing when we got to the camp ground!! Then we headed to Grandma's again for a grill out as both my sister's were in town so that was a real good time!

We spent so much time running that I have tons of laundry to do to be ready to leave Thursday am! I also FORGOT Jordon has an appt with Dr. Blake today and I don't know how I am gonna pull that off now...I am such a scatter brain now!! I only have 3 kids for daycare today and usually they leave early T & TH so hopefully they will today too, but that means I would still have to take all 4 of mine with me...UUGGH!! I am so upset with my self for this!! I have been so worried about looking at houses and getting ready for this trip I totally spaced it off...not good!! I almost think I should just reschedule but it is so hard to guarantee a visit in the near future as he is so overloaded to begin with!!

Jeff is working on lining up another house for us so we should hear back on that today as well! I swear there is too much going on all at one time!! I need at least another one of me for the next few day's!! I guess I better get ready for working my arse off so I will post later on updates!!

Not This Time

I guess this is not the house for us. Jeff called last night and 2 of the other offer's were higher then ours and so it looks like this will not be the house for us. He did tell us he has another house coming out this week that is a good one too! It's kindof upsettting but nothing we can do about it so we'll just move on! Maybe next time will work out!

Offer Made!

This morning at 11am we met with our realtor Jeff and made a formal written offer on the house. There were 2 other offers going in at the same time as ours so hopefully ours is a good one! We should know by 10P tonight so all day I will be sitting on the phone! I will post again when I hear!

2nd Viewing!

Tonight we looked at the house on Center for the 2nd time and still both like it just the same! We looked really close this time and spent a good amount of time there again looking over everything to the best of our ability! After some discussion with the realtor and our my parents we are thinking we will probably make an offer very soon! Right now we just have to decide how much and our reasoning for that offer! There are just a few things that will need to be done to the garage for sure so we need to take that into consideration!

Today has been very stressful for me the kid's and daycare kid's have been just loud, whiny and full of it! I am not sure what the difference is this week but next week is some vacation time so that will be nice! Tomorrow is the last day of school so the kids are super excited for that...me too!! A Good House!!

Last night we looked at a house at 815 W. Center and fianlly found something that is very ok! Even Brit liked it ....YAY! He was standing in the front yard looking at the house and he said "Boy I really can't think of anything wrong with this one". I was so relieved because I really liked this one and was just waiting for him to start in on it!! LOL! The house came out yesterday am and was shown 6 times already yesterday!! Jeff said that he doesn't like to sell a house without showing it twice to a person so he said let's look at it again tomorrow night at 6P. So we are gonna look at it again tonight,lol! This could be the one everyone!! I will keep you posted on our decision and progress!!

House viewing

WOW did I mention it's early in the morning!! I am just sitting waiting for the rest of the daycare kid's to get here so I thought I'd do my post now! We looked at 2 houses on Monday night and the first is something you should just turn and run from immediately!! The 2nd one was a little better but needs a few things, but nothing too major. I of coarse liked it and Brit of coarse did not. He is really frustrating because this twice now I have liked a house and he is dead set against it! He is looking for the perfect house like the one we wanted that we couldnt get. He is too picky and I don't know what I am gonna do about it! I guess we will let this one go too and hope another one come's along!

Not much else going on only two more day's of school left!!

Monday..Monday!

So after a long beautiful weeknd here we are again!! I told Britton last night that since I didn't do any laundry this weekend he should make sure I am up and heading to the shower when he leaves for work so I can get a early start with having 8 kid's here today I should be prepared! Well wouldn't you know he got me up at 4:45 cuz he was leaving...OMG YUK! I am so not a morning person. At first I pondered just ignoring him and saying I forgot but I being the AWESOME wife I am drug myself up and headed to the shower! So here I sit at 9:52 and the laundry is almost done...2 loads left...YAY!! Then the only other housework left is the vacumming which I try to wait as long as I can on because as soon as I do it they find something crumby to spill!! LOL.

We saw another house on the list so we are looking at that tonight so hopefully it's at least closer to what we need. I know it's big enough and the location is great we just have to see the inside and all the other important features now!

So remember how I said I got that computer but that it needed to be reprogramed and that I messed it up a bit....lol! Well even after I got the disc's I am not having good luck. The screen is messed up and for the life of me I can't get it working so that I can redo it! If anyone out there is a computer wiz or even know what they are doing and want to take a crack at it let me know!!! LOL!

I guess not much else is going on today. This is the last week of school and Julia reminded me this am that it is the last Monday of the year!! COOL!! Let Summer begin!! Have a great day!!

Family Time!

Today was a great day! First we played outside while Brit mowed the lawn. Then the kid's and I decided we should plant the flower's Grandma gave us. I had so much fun sitting out in the yard showing my kid's how to plant flower's and letting them help me. We got dirty and it was great!! LOL. After that we cleaned up and went and bought some hanging plants and a new Shepard Hook to add a 3rd plant! They had a great time helping me pick out some real pretty color's!

After we got the yard looking good we decided to go out to the lake and hang out! Brit taught the boy's how to skip rock's and both boy's actually were able to get 2 skips a few times! Janaya was another story getting rock's a little bit of everywhere...lol! We also took Rosco with us this time as we hadn't yet and weren't too sure how he'd do. We should have taken him long ago he ran right up to the water walked in sat down and then layed down and it was hilarious! He would drink and lay there just loving it! So now we know that if we go Rosco goes too!

When we got back into town we grabbed some food and then icecream from the DQ! If you haven't had the Waffle Bowl Sundae you must do so...OMG YUMMY!! After we ate we headed over to Grandma and Papa's for some visiting and the kid's loved it! It was a great day all in all and I truely enjoyed spending such quality time with my kid's and hubby!

This is my favorite day of the week I must say!! Tonight Brit and I are going out for supper with my Dad and Lesli so I am looking forward to that! It is always hard to find a sitter but I got lucky this time so that is good! I believe we are heading to Brooking's Walmart first then over to Flandreau for supper!

Today Julia is going to Pipestone for a field trip at school and she is very excited for that. After school she is going home with a friend and they will be going to see the new Shrek movie tonight! Jordon is anxiously waiting for school to be done, I am not sure what he is expecting next but I guess we'll find out...lol! Jackson had his first day home with no school yesterday and was thrilled although he thought he was going to Kindergarten now! I am having a hard time getting him to understand when Fall is so we'll keep working on this!

I think we will have a quiet weekend, or I should say I am hoping. This has been a long week full of busy kid's and I need some down time! I hope for some nice weather so we can maybe spend sometime at the lake! It is free fishing weekend so I'd like to try to do that as the boy's love it!! Well the kid's are done eating so I best get out there and clean up! Have a Great Day!!

Better mood....

Well after the police officer left the lot manger called me herself and I didn't really give her a chance to speak. I told her I would do my best to catch my "dam" dog and really if I leave to much to do that the kid's will be alone here. Then I said "And why in the world would you call the police and say I left kid's here alone, just because my van is here doesn't mean a dam thing" She said "well people are complaining so what am I supposed to do?" I said "Well not that for dam sure" She then proceeded to tell me that the neighbor's watched the cop's bang on my door and the kid's all talking through the window and nobody answering. I said "Well you know that isn't true because you drove by when I was out there with him" and " that didn't happen because I heard him talking and opened the door before he even knocked" She then started stuttering and got frazzled. So I think I made my point clear. I told her I'd catch him if I could and she said she would but she's scared of him. I said "He's laying in my yard and won't do anything to you". Really I tell ya she is nut's. I feel sorry for Kerrie having to hear her all the times she called.

Anyway my dog came in on his own before noon shivering like a baby!! I called to let the dog catcher know so he didn't have to come back over. Hopefully this will calm down now and she will think twice before messing with me again, probably not but I can hope right!!

I'm Gonna Vent!!

Ok here goes, last night Brit left the gate open when he was hauling garbage and Rosco got out. It has been 2 months since this happend last. We tried till midnight to catch him and then had to go to bed. I got up at 3 am and looked again but he was hiding. Brit stayed home from work till 6:30a trying to get him in. This dog is impossible to catch. I have tried 3 times this am also. Well just a little bit ago a police officer comes to my door because the lot manager called and complained of the dog being out and that there are all these children at my house being unattended too!! You have got to be kidding me right...HELLO I'm here!! The officer was Rob Haug a long time friend so we laughed about that and he said that is what him and Kerrie the dispatcher thought but he had to stop and sure enough she drove by while he was here. Just because my van is not in my driveway does not mean noone is here for pete's sake!! Every Spring I have the same problem's with this lady and usually she calls me first before calling the police, I guess this year she is just gonna be a nasty well something or other!! I don't let the kid's play outside at all by them selves unless it's evening and it's my kid's or older daycare kid's in the evening . She her self and been by and seen me out there with them and she smiles and waves. So what the heck is the problem. I can not wait to get the hell out of here. If we could find a house that was decent enough in our price range this would all be over. I am so angry this morning I just wanna call her and let her have it. But knowing that will not solve it I will just sit here and vent. Any suggestion's or if anyone know's of a house BIG enough let me know!!! Anyway sorry to be so grouchy on here but I have noone here to talk to but kid's and they don't need to hear it...lol!! Have a Great Day for me!!

I love Shopping

Last night we went and got our new dining room table...FINALLY and YAY!! I have been waiting and wanting this so bad as my old table is OLD and a total disgrace I swear!! While we were there we picked out a new tent and air matresses for that as well. We have a cmping trip planned for the last weekend in May so I am glad this is taken care of. We had a tent before but last summer Brit's mom and 3 sister's were here and stayed in it out in the yard. Well the 2nd or 3rd night they were here a big storm came through and totally destroyed the tent and gave them the scare of their lives. Luckily they all got out and in the house with no injuries as well. So we had to get a new one!! I didn't realize tent's were that expensive...we might as well look for a camper!! I think we would if we camped more but you see camping is just not so much my thing...to many bug's well spider's and tick's that I can't deal with! It is fun and the kid's love it so I give it my best when we go...lol!

I think the kid's need summer break they are all just full of energy and not listening so well. Jackson will be done with pre-school on Wed and he is ready for his move to Kindergarten!! The other 2 have this week and next week before they are done. They are doing lot's of activities right now. Speaking of Julia has a swimming party today and she called me to let me know she forgot her suit and towel and can I bring it to her before they go?!! Umm this should prove fun as I have 7 kid's here right now. I am hoping that I can run real quick when 2 of them leave early...the prob is they leave at like 12:45 and Julia's class is leaving at 1:15 for the Community Center! I tried to call good ole Grandma but she is working! I am stressing about this but hopefully I will make it there! I do think she need's to work on her organization skills and remembering what she need's and when. If I really wanted to teach her I would not make it there and she would just have to watch but if you know me I don't have the heart and will somehow save her once again!

Not sure what the rest of the week hold's other than kid's! I am planning to get out with Brit and my Dad and his wife on Saturday evening but that is a way's off yet. But hey I can start dreaming can't I? Well have a good day...will blog at ya later!!

Happy Mother's Day!

To my friend's and fellow mother's...Kari, Tracy, Jennie, Lori, Kerrie, Jamie, I wish you all a very happy Mother's Day!! Children are a true blessing from above and fill our heart's with love!!

This weekend has been busy but relaxing too. I had my nephew and niece last night for an overnighter along with my friend's daughter and Julia's friend for a BIG slumber party last night. I went shopping with Jill in Sioux Fall's yesterday with none of my kid's or my husband, talk about easy!! I got myself a Mother's Day present(a new outfit) as well. Today we went to the lake for awhile early in the day and then lounged for a bit. After supper we went back to the lake after a drive! Tonight we just hung out as mom got a headache. I am thinking I spent too much time in the sun today. Tomorrow I will spend my am cleaning and then hopefully be able to grill out and spend some more time with the family!! Have a good one!!

Thursday Already?

Well I would be lieing if I said nothing was going on as I have been busy the last few day's. Tuesday was just a rough emotional day that I am just gonna leave at that!! Yesterday I took my dad to SF to have his other carpul tunnnel surgery done. After that I came home and relived my mom from daycare...THANK YOU MOM for helping me again!! I decided after the kid's got home from school I should mow the jungle out there so they could play and I wouldn't have to wait for him to get time. Let me just say that is a man's job...end of story!!! We got a call from the people about the house we are interested in and got a price, so now it's up to the bank if we get it or not...cross your finger's!! So after looking at the house again and visiting with them we came home. My dad took me yesterday when we got back to town to pick up my Zoloft so I took it yesterday and today. I gave in because I was getting that dizzy lightheadedness feeling again. So I am on it and gonna stay on it!!

Tonight Jordon has a musical at the school so that should be fun!! He isn't real excited about it but I suppose that comes with being a boy!! I am hoping to just relax someday soon! Tomorrow is another busy day for sure...grocery shopping..YAY!!

Down in the dumps...again...

Remember awhile back when I was so sick and they got me started on some med's one of them being Zoloft. Well ever since I started it I have been feeling pretty good and finally got back into a good sleeping pattern. I have always hated having to admit I have a depression problem because to me it mean's I am not happy in my life and I really am. I was told that most of it is probably hereditary and that I don't have to really have a reason to be this way I just am...so ok I accept it. Well I ran out of my Zoloft a few day's ago and thought I'd be ok till Friday when I get paid and have time to run errand's. You see during business hours I cant really go anywhere with all these kid's. Needless to say today I am starting to feel it...UUGGHH! I am tired (no I am not sleepign well) moody, feel like crying and just plain have this sad feeling for NO REASON AT ALL!! I hate the thought of having to take this medicine forever...but I know I have to as I can not live like this!! It also make's it really hard to be a good mom, wife and to do my job when I feel like this. I am thinking I will have to give in long before Friday or it will just get worse everyday. I just feel like something has to be wrong with me to not be able to overcome this on my own.

Well I guess that is all for now...not much else going on here right now. The kid's are busy with end of year school stuff...it seems 3rd grade saves all there big projects for the end of the year!! They are doing fieldtrip's too. Just a few more week's then it's summer break!! I have been really busy with lot's of little one's running allover the house!! Have a good one!!

Tonight was Larry the Cable Guy!! If you remember we bought these ticket's in Feb for Valentine's Day gifts to eachother!! Well after a long wait it was here!! Yes I am still up laughing about it...he was GREAT!! I did get some picture's they just are not as good as I wanted them to be. We had great seat's you could see him perfectly and he looks just like he does on TV...LOL!! It was a great time and so worth it...so here are the pic's I got!!

Here are the interview question's given to me by Erin...I will do my best to answer them!! I have to answer 5 of the 6 so here goes...

1.) If you could have dinner with anyone dead or alive who would it be?
If I could have dinner with someone I think it would be my new little friend Sammy. He is a little person with Pitutitary Dwarfism and he lives in London. I met him on Yahoo and he is the neatest person I have met in along time. He long's for friend's and can't seem to get enough of my company! He is 2' 10" tall and weigh's 25 pound's. He is 20 year's old and has had a tough time of making friend's...to be able to meet him face to face would be amazing!!


2.) What is your least favorite household duty? Why?
First of all I have 2 job's in the house I don't like...the first being cleaning the bathroom's. To me this is absolutely discusting and I can't bring myself to do it unless I "have" to. Brit does it for me...bless him! The 2nd is laundry just because there is so much of it!

3.) What was your first job? What did you like/dislike about it?
My first job was a waitress at the F&M Cafe here in Madison. I liked getting tip's as I got to take money home everyday. I disliked rude or ungrateful customer's. Even if you were extra nice and stayed that way despite their behavior they wouldn't change.

4.) Who/What do you find inspirational? Why?
I find my mom inspirational. She has alway's been there for me no matter what I did or said or the path's I chose. She is my best friend and alway's know's what to say or how to make me feel better. If I can become half the women she is or even close to the mother she is I will be happy.

5.) What are your pet peeves (please describe)?
I hate it when anyone lie's to me or even just knowing someone is lieing to anyone. If you can't tell the truth just don't speak!! I obviously hate "dirty" bathroom's!! I don't like whining either.

6.) What TV/Cartoon character best fits your personality? Describe how you are alike?
Well I have alway's said that I am just like Roseanne Barr from Roseanne. I am the head of my house...alway's think I am right...alway's trying to give advice even if I shouldn't. Some people say I can be scarry if crossed...but I don't believe that...lol. I am humerous and alway's have a wisecrack or comment to make. On the other hand I do most of the thing's around the house and with the kid's. Brit is not like Dan though...thank goodness!!

It has been a few quiet day's here...some of my daycare kid's have been gone due to illness. I am OK with it as I am really stress and worried about many thing's right now so some quiet time is much needed. Still waiting to hear the price on the last house we looked at...I think that is part of my worries, I know I can't sit and fret about it as it is not in our hands...if the good lord wants us to have that house then it will work out!!

I found a way to get some of the picture's of the kid's swimming when we went to Fargo in March so I will try to post those. I still don't have my new computer back and that is frustrating me too!! Tonight is Julia's musical at the High School I always love to go watch her sing...she loves to do it so much she gets so excited. Hope everyone is having a good day!!

House Hunting....

Awhile ago I read on Jamie's blog about how not so great the houses were she looked at. I couldn't agree more after last night's veiwing! Out of the 3 we saw only 1 is an option and it is kindof small, overpriced and Brit want's a basement! Jeff said he thinks for sure there will be some new listing's very soon and will call us when they do. In the meantime we will ponder the one house and watch for other's available. We are really being picky as this is such a big commitment and very long term. If any of you know me I have a tendency to live somewhere for a year or so and then I can't stand it and have to move. Well I have been put for 3 year's here and am ready to go so I am trying to be patient. There are other factors involved with needing to leave here but patient's has never really been a virtue of mine...lol.
I am also frustrated with this mold allergy, it has been about a month since I finished that last antibiotic and guess what...I am stuffing again and still coughing alot. This morning I had blood when I blew my nose (sorry for the detail) and that really makes me nervous as it hasn't happened before. I don't know what to do but keep up with the Claratin and hope for something to come along soon.
I talked with someone today who might be interested in our mobile home under the stip that we help with the bathroom "cleanup" so that is a good deal too. It's not for sure but nice to know. Well I guess I don't have much else to say right now...a quiet afternoon as some of my daycare kid's went home early today so I was able to go run some errand's and now can relax for about 30 mins before the kid's get home from school. Tatoo's

I tried to take some decent picture's of my tatoo's and this is what I got! The one with the 3 J's is on the left calf and the other is on my right calf. I love angel's and obviously my kid's are my angel's so that is the reasoning for them!

On another note I talked to the bank today and we have been APPROVED!!!! I have been waiting to hear this for along time and so needless to say I am having a GREAT day. Now for the house hunting...lol!!

Weekend

Saturday I went to Sioux Fall's with my sister and her 2 boy's as she had some shopping to do and wanted the company. We left here at 9:30a...and finally got home at 5P...LONG DAY!! We went to the mall which was nice for me as I never get to go there. I walked all around for 2 hours and didn't buy a thing other than lunch...something has got to be wrong with me...LOL! We met up with our sister Courtney at the mall and then headed to Walmart. I had done my shopping Friday so I only picked up a new purse and some Glosser for Julia's hair. For some reason they have it in the SF Walmart but not BRK kindof frustrating when I go to BRK! We then headed to Courtney's so I could see the kid's!! A long story made short she told me of this friend of there's who does really cheap tatoo's...he is just starting out and I am sure he will learn soon and raise his price but for now I can't complain. I have an angel with J,J, & J on it for the first 3 kid's....I have been meaning to get another one for Janaya and she is 3 now! So I decided yesterday to check it out and for the way he drew it and the price I had to go for it. I am such a baby when it come's to pain so that part I exagerate on but I got it and I love it...I am gonna go back sometime soon and get some color done I think but other than that it's cool. I will have to try sometime to post a pic of them both! I then headed home and brought my niece who is 2 with me for the night. I don't see them enough and her and Janaya play well together. She was totally thrilled with "EIEI" this time too so that is good they are only 2 months apart.

Sunday I had to take Natalye to see Papa and Grandma for a bit then headed back to SF to return her. I love having my niece and nephew's when I can. After I got back we all headed to the lake for some family fun. The water is still WAY TO COLD but they played in the sand, threw rock's and waded their toes and it was fun. In a bit I think we will have supper and wind down for the Monday morning...I might have to talk Brit into a evening walk but other than that I am relaxing now. Hope you all had a good one too!!

Not So Much A Little Girl Anymore?

Today all my daycare kid's were gone by 2:30 so a friend of mine and I headed to Brooking's with Julia and a friend of hers. The plan was to do the grocery shopping without so much hassle of the whole family! Well after a quick bite to eat at the BK we headed in for some serious shopping. Jodi decided right away to look at swimming suit's so I decided to look too as I really needed one. Julia and her friend were giggling and making sure we knew which one's were "cool" the entire time. Did I mention that every time they picked one out for us it was like a size 4/5....maybe when I was 10 honey..lol! They were very young teenish and it was weird. Then pretty much the whole rest of the time we were in there they were chatty, looking at every piece of clothing, giggling and messing around! I think my little Julia is growing up and it is cool and scary all at the same time. I am hoping that I am ready to handle some teenage year's. I just pray she is easier on me then I was to my mom...lol! She is such a delightful child and just all around beautiful!

Britton bowled in the Master's of the Lane's tonight so I watched him for a bit when I got home. Tomorrow night is the Bowling Banquet I hope that is fun. I am gonna run to Sioux Fall's with my sister and we are hoping for some time outdoors too! I didn't hear from the bank today so I hope that is good news??!! Have a good weekend!!

House Update

I talked to the lady at the bank yesterday and our loan is in the processor's hand's as of now. She had a few question's as to how much we were wanting to spend on a house and what we were looking at house payment wise. Thing's are looking good so far so that is a relief for me. I then called the realtor and set up and appointment to look at the 2 houses we are interested the most in. We will be looking at them Monday night at 7p. I hope that at least one of them is what I want. Neither Brit or I have ever really done this before or been serious about it so I have asked my Dad and Step dad to come along to make sure all the question's that should be asked are and everything that should be looked at is...don't want to leave any stone unturned!

Yesterday was a quiet day for daycare so I just kind of relaxed did a ton of laundry and cleaning. I even found time to get the kid's summer clothes and winter clothes switched out. That is always such a chore and very time consuming. We are planning another trip to Fargo this weekend as Brit's sister Nikki is graduating from Concordia. Congrats Nikki!! I guess that is all for now!

TV

Awhile ago I read a blog on Tracy's site about the TV shows she watches and got to thinking about it! So I thought I would share some of what I like to watch as well.
Daytime: I "get" to watch lot's of Nick Jr. M-F and have actually come to enjoy some of it..HEHEHE!!
On a more serious note I "have" to watch Day's of Our Live's and Passion's especially on Friday. They may be a little crazy but I really like them...it's almost like they are real to me! (lol) I also like Maury and am really starting to like Dr. Keith Ablow too! I don't always get to see them but try to see as much as I can.
I don't really watch much TV in the late afternoon till about evening. If I am not playing my poker I like Deal or No Deal, Deadliest Catch, and Wheel of Fortune. There are show's on MTV and VH1 that I like such as The Inferno, Real World, Exposed, Parental Control, Charm School, I did watch Flavor of Love and I love New York too!! I don't watch much TV other than that. On the weekend's sometime's we rent movie's and I might watch one most of the time I play poker while doing that even.


I am sure I have referenced "poker" alot lately. Just to input on that I started playing poker on Brit's PS2 and then learned of it being online from TV (World Series of Poker I like to watch that too). So I checked it out and was hooked. I have been playing it online for about a year. I have met some really nice people to play with and some not so nice as well. I have met people from Brooking's, Sioux Falls, and people from far away as well. There are people from all over the world that play on this site and if you really enjoy poker as I do it's lot's of fun too. It is playmoney so it's not like I am losing my own real money....that would be a whole new set of issues...lol! If anyone like's to play poker or is interested go to Pokerstars.com and you can download it...lol!

Small World

It's such a small world if you really think about it sometime's. Last night while I was playing poker (pokerstars.com) I noticed someone come on and it said they were from Mobridge. I then asked the person if they were from Mobridge SD and they said yes. That is where I was born and lived there till about 91 or so...I started 5th grade in Madison. He said yes he was and I told him I was born there and still had family there. He asked me their last name's and I told him. He said 2 people he knew and that he knew all of them. I laughed and said those are 2 of my first cousin's and that our mom's were sister's. He then asked me if I knew Quinten Schlomer and I said yes. You see that is a boy I lived kiddy corner from when I lived in Mobridge, and we went to school together. (my mom also told me today that I had a crush on him, but I don't remember too much). Anyway he said that was him....I asked if he remembered a Barb Maas and he did so I informed him that he was talking to me!! We were both shocked and amazed. I don't even remember the last time I saw him to be honest!! It just goes to show how small the world is to me!! And it was a nice shocker. I got his e-mail and hope to keep in touch! Stranger thing's have happened....isn't it cool though!?

Busy But Fun!!

Well another busy weekend has come and gone just like that!! This weekend started with some family time Friday night and my brother arrived with his wife and stepson for the weekend. Sat Julia had to go to Brooking's to bowl State and she did awesome....her average is a 64 and she bowled a 102, 104 and a 49!!!! GREAT JOB JULIA! They got back right at 4p and we had to hurry to the Community Center for Zach's b-day which was till 7P...the kid's enjoyed pizza, present's and swimming!! We then ventured to Grandma and Papa Hoeke's house for the icecream cake and were there till just about 10P. I love family get together's and we alway's seem to lose track of time!! Sunday morning Julia had to bowl her Dbl's and Single's for State (Brooking's again) at 10:30 so off we were again. This time my Dad and his wife joined us so they drove. She again bowled awesome despite the naughty behavior of her partner!! She had to bowl 6 games in a row and she bowled a 104, 93&50 and her next set of 3 were 72, 87, and a 94!! I think she will place pretty well bowling so much over her average! We got some lunch and headed home. When I got home I got to visit with my brother a bit more and worked a bit on the laundry that Brit was doing for me!!! THANK YOU HONEY!! My brother left about 5p and then I fed my family and at 630 headed off to my last night of mixed bowling with my dad! Needless to say when I got home at 9:00 I was ready for bed! And bless Brit's heart he had all the laundry done!!! I wish the weekend had a relaxing day but here we go again with another week! Next weekend is starting to look just as busy so I don't know how that will go! Hope you all had a great weekend!!

Lost a tooth?

Jackson is 5 year's old and will be 6 in Sept. Usually kid's don't start losing there teeth till 6 or 7! Well last week him and Janaya were playing rough and she threw a toy boat at him and hit him in the mouth, knocking his bottom middle tooth loose! On Monday night he lost that tooth and when I was looking at it I noticed that the 2nd middle tooth was loose also and told him to just leave it and hopefull it would tighten up. (it was real loose though) Well needless to say Thursday he wiggled it and it came right out!! So now he has both middle bottom teeth gone and a nice gap. Hopefully the permenant one's don't take too long to come in. He on the other hand couldn't have been more excited as the Tooth Fairy had to come and that mean's cash in his pocket...lol! I guess the good thing is he is close to that age anyway and he doesn't have to wait year's for it to come in. I just can't imagine how that little boat couldv'e done such damage. You would also think that they wouldn't play so darn rough either. There doesn't appear to be anymore that are loose so that is good too!

Today we enjoyed alot of time outside playing ball and swinging. We went to the park for supper and the kids loved it. We then stopped at Grandma's to show her the "gap" in Jackson's mouth and played there for awhile. After that we headed to the carwash to vacum and wash the van. My brother and his wife arrived for the weekend tonight also. We are celebrating her son's b-day tomorrow at the Community center. Julia has state bowling tournament's this weekend in Brooking's on Sat and Sun. I am bowling with my dad on Sunday for the last time of league this year. So I believe it is gonna be a busy weekend here in the Boedecker household!! Hope everyone has a good weekend and enjoy the BEAUTIFUL weather!!

We Did IT!!

Last night was our roll-off for the second half of the bowling season and we finally beat the Gopher Girl's...YES!! This has been a battle between our 2 team's for a few year's now and last night we got em!! I was so excited we had quite the crowd to cheer us on and it was great!! I drank in moderation the whole time and was feeling alright, well when we won a girl from our team bought us all a shot of Tequilla...I have never in my life taken a shot of that and swore I never would. I am not much of a drinker as I only need one to do the job, but in the spirit of the team I thought I would try it...I made it and didn't even get sick!! (almost though) I can say that it is just as nasty as I thought and don't intend to ever do it again. Needless to say I was drunk and up way to late so 5:30am came way to early!! But it was a good time and I am so proud of my team...GO Strang Trucking!!!

Not much else has gone on the last few day's around here just been enjoying our time outside!! I called the bank the other day about starting the home mortgage process and they are gonna mail me the application and after we fill it out we will go meet with them. I am so excited to be finally starting this process and hope it all goes smoothly and we can hopefully be moving by this summer sometime...cross your finger's!! Hope everyone is having a good week....

Finally...Spring?!

WOW! What a great weekend with nice weather and some fun relaxing family time!! Yesterday we gathered with my firend Jill and her little girl and headed out to a friend from Brit's work for some sinshine and grilling out! he lives out in hte country so it was just peaceful and the kid's could just plain RUN!!!! He started a little bon-fire and let them help gather the stick's up and they roasted some marshmellows after supper!! The kid's were so dirty and it was GREAT!! LOL! I am trying this game of match-maker and hoping to blossom a "friendship" between the 2 of them and so far so good...HEHEHE!! We got home in the late evening and the kid's were in bed and sleeping before 8:30 if that doesn't say how tuckered they were, but oh did they have fun!

I have been waiting for some spring weather and needing to be outside as I get the feeling of being cooped up so bad, worse then the kid's I think. LOL. I hope it is here to stay now and we can enjoy much more of it!!

Not much else went on this weekend. Today has been a good day with daycare and I honestly think this is the best Monday I have had in a long time!! Hope everyone else is having a "Happy Monday" as well!!!

Bowling Change

Apparently a few of the women from the other bowling team called our team captain and appologized for the behavior of there team about when to do the roll-off for the year. They ended up changing the day to next wednesday the 18th I believe at 7P!! It was a good move for them to appologize and hopefully this will make it a more enjoyable event!! I still hope we win...HEHE!

The rest of the week went well and I think the new change in daycare is gonna go ok!! It really has been nice having my 2 kid's ride to and from school with the neighbor girl! Yesterday we ventured to Brooking's for groceries and holy buckets is that bill getting outreagous!! The kid's were pretty good and it was a nice time all in all. Julia is done with bowling so it is weird to have my Saturday to do what ever. I do have my cleaning job to do tonight but other than that it's whatever we decided to do....kindof relaxing!! Hope you all have a good weekend!!

Bowling!!

Last night was our postion round in bowling to see who bowls the roll-of with the winner's from the first half. When we went into last night we knew we had to get at least all 3 games to win. We have a 7 point system which is 2 points per game and 1 point for total. We ended up taking all 7 points so we WON...YAY!! We all bowled really well last night as a whole and it was great. There was some heated discussion between some member's of both team's who are bowling the roll-of but in the end it was set for April 25, 6P!! If we win that we are the 2nd half winner's!!
I was really excited as this is my first full year with my team and I have worked really hard to learn my new ball and way of throwing it!! My average has come up and I am getting more consistant!! So keep your finger's crossed that we win!!! And hey it give's me another night of bolwing....YIIPPEE!!!

Jordon's IEP

I had Jordon's annual IEP yesterday, for those of you who may not know what that is it's Interdiciplinary Education Plan (for special need's). They all had good thing's to say this year as Jordon has made GREAT gain's in all area's. The team consist's of his parent's,the principle, his Special Ed teacher, classroom teacher, Occupational thereapist, Speech therapist and Cousnelor. We made some new goals for the next year and added the few he hasn't completed for this year. Jordon has made goal's this year that his Developmental Pediatrician never thought he would do so this is very exciting for him and all of us!! Hopefully he will continue to grow accademically and that next year will be just as good if not better. He will progress to 2nd grade, every year they will advance him to keep him with his same group of "peer's" he just has a modafied curriculum. I am very pleased with the way this year went as compared to the last 2 year's!!!

Better Day!

Today was a much quieter day, the big kid's were back to school and 3 of my daycare kid's left at noon! So I had a relaxing afternoon, well for about 1 1/2 hours...lol! I have an evening kid that is here till 10:30 which really bite's when I have to get up at 5:30am!! I just don't have the heart to tell his mom that I don't want any kid's in the evening anymore! What is a girl to do?

I got it arranged for Julia and Jordon to ride to school with the neighbor girl, I used to take them but it is not possible anymore with so many kid's. This will relieve some stress!!
Today at noon I introduced my nephew to hotdog's, he is about 10 mos old so I was a bit nervous but I made them real small and to my surprise he loved them, ate a whole hot dog! Why kid's love those so much I will never understand...lol!

Not sure if anyone noticed but it is snowing outside!! What is up with that? I thought we were heading into spring, then Jordon's aide quickly reminded me April Fool's, must be huh??!

Well not much else to report tomorrow I get to go bowling for the last time this season so I will be sure to enjoy every second I'm there!! I might just have to find something else to do when it's dond just to keep that one night a week!!!

Oh my what a day!

Holy cow is it Friday yet? Today was my first day with the new kid's and there is no school so needless to say I had 9 kid's up until about 45 mins ago! I don't think I have sat or been able to think strait since 6am...lol! I now have 6 kid's 4 and under M-F and 4 diaper changes to do every 2-3 hours!!! Talk about busy. I also made the mistake of not touching my laundry all weekend so I have been doing that the best I could today also. Baby Cooper is teathing and obviously had a long weekend so he has been pretty much screaming since 9am, he is now sleeping going on 30mins!!! Hopefully when we get our new routine down and get used to eachother thing's will quiet down. The new kid's are very well behaved so that is a big help.

On to our Easter, we traveled to my aunt and uncle's house yesterday where we spent the day with lot's of family and had a great time. There was lot's of food and drink and of course easter basket's coming from every direction!! LOL! It was nice to be able to see my Grandma again and look forward to seeing her again in June when we go camping with Papa and Grandma Hoeke! My god parent's were there also and my brother Kenny, his wife and her son too. My sister was there also. We always have lots of fun at our family get together's.

This has been a tough question for me, I have thought about it for day's just because there are so many things I "want"! I guess a few would be that my children live happy, healthy, fullfilled lives and spend their eternity with the Lord and Savior!
Another would be what everyone wants which is total finacial security and to never have to worry about money!!
Finally I would like to have a house with lot's of yard and a place I can make and call my own!

I realize some of my wedding doesn't sound so good...even though it was rough I am truely glad to be married to my wonder ful hubby. I am so in love and it only get's stronger with time. Britton was brought into my life at the perfect time and helped me through some tough issues from my last relationship. I'm sure many of you know how it was! Britton moved into my house May1 2003 because he needed a place to stay for 15 days till he would be going home to Montana. Well after those 15 day's he realized he couldn't go. He was falling in love....and so was I! He decided to stay here with me and face up to the legal issues and handle it as he should. He really changed his life in short period of time. I never knew love could change a person so much and help me to heal at the same time. We quickly were married and then pregnant with Janaya. Most of you probably know I had 3 from previous. I thank God for bringing this man to my heart, soul and life! I can't imagine my life with out him! He has stepped up and been a dad to my other 3 kid's and he is all they know. He must truely be an amazing man to take on what he did and to still contiue to take such good care of us in every way!! I love you Brit.....

Busy Thursday

WOW this day has been busy! I ended my day still haveing 7 kids. Tomorrow there is no school so total I will have 9 all day long, and then the 3 extra overnight again....UUGGH! It is really taking atoll on me to be doing such hours. I feel like I dont ever really get a break!! I look at it though that I am home with my babies and making a living too. I love the moments with the kid's. Today we dyed easter egg's with the daycare kid's...messy but fun! Janaya and Ely are old enough now to join and they had a blast!!

Speaking of daycare I got another call today for 3 kids, they are like 4,3,2 (talk about close). They would be here M-F 6:30 - 4P. It is extra money but that would bring my daycare total to 9...and when u add my kid's it's 13 here at any given time!!!! I am worried about the amount of space seeing how my home is very small. I think we need to get this house buying in motion(faster) so I can get something that allows for me to be comfortable with that many kid's around!! Thank goodness for the fenced in yard!! If I decide to take them I will consider my self full and not take any more!!!! They are coming tomorrow (Friday) at 2p for an interview visit so we'll see how it goes! Well I am gonna rest up for the day...Happy Easter to all of you!

Great Grandma Visit

My Grandma is here this week (well staying at my uncle's in Garretson) and my mom brought her here today and had us all over for supper. My kid's have only seen her a few time's and she is not young!! I am truely happy for each oppurtunity they get to see her. I love to sit and watch her facial expression's as she watches them play and talk. She lit up so with love!!! She tell's them stories of us when we were little and point's out the feature's each one has of us. Tonight when my mom was rocking Cooper she did this hum that my Grandma always did...I quickly told her how I did that with all mine and how everytime I hear it I think of her!! She really is a special lady and I hope my kid's will remember her with as much love as I do....

100th Blog

I noticed when I went to post that this is my 100th blog...YAY! I guess my writing skills should be perfect now!! LOL

Anway the real reason I posted is that my computer is fixed...April fool's...HAHAHA!! If I have to be mad about it might as well joke about it too!! Hope you all had a good weekend. Our's was mostly quiet and indoors as to not go floating away with the rain. And the hail was nut's too. The kid's wanted me to catch it for them..so I put a pan out on the step and caught some, they were so amused. LOL. Well it's late I best try to sleep...still working on mastering that!!

YUK!!

Well this morning is quickly turning not so nice!! Did I mention I am TERRIFIED of spider's? I found a big ugly one in the kitchen sink the other morning and almost called 911 (sorry Kerrie I know it's not for that) . That same day I found one crawling on poor Janaya after being outside and now I just had to wrestle one off the ceiling. I am just beside myself with paranoia now!! I have often thought about hypnotism to help me with this but then again the thought of not being scared and letting them touch me it WORSE!! I feel like I am in a prison being tortured at the thought another one is gonna come out and get me!! EEEEWWWWW!!

The other thing bad is the guy coming to do the computer got a call to go out of state to North Dakota for work...now I have to wait longer!!! WWAAAAAAAAAA!! LOL

Computer

It's been a fairly quiet week here at the Boedecker household. I am having someone come look at the computer's tonight to get some of the problem area's worked out! I am having problem's with transfering all my old stuff to the new computer and I have no sound on the new computer!! So hopefully he can get it fixed and I can post my pic's and be in total working order again!! Other than that it is so nice to have an updated computer, my old one is from like 1997 or so!! Not much else going on right now.

Brit and I have had much discussion lately about our current home and the benefit's and con's of buying a house which would mean breaking our contract with this one. We have decided to start looking and starting the process to buy one. We are going to take it slow and make sure all our ducks are in a row!! I have seen a house on the list with Madison Realty that we are interested in so we'll see what happens. I did the first mold kit on Tues from the bathroom and can check it for the 1st time on Friday. So I'll keep you posted on that too!! Wish me luck!!!

What a Weekend!

We had a very fun and busy weekend in Fargo! We got home Sunday about 9:30 so it was late! I got my new computer but am having trouble's getting everything switched and learning the ropes of this one! Why can't technology be easy for me??? I will post some pic's I took of the kid's when I get this working right for me!! Just thought I should let you all know we made it out alive! It was very nice to see Brit's family and his sister's recital was awesome! She plays the flute! Janaya had her party at Chuckie Cheese so that was COOL! SHe got overloaded with presents as usual, her Grandma Davis loves to spoil the kid's , and that is COOL!! Well kid's are going crazy so I will post again soon!!

B-day Cake

I thought I should post some pic's of Janaya's b-day cakes that Kari made for her! They are so awesome and she is so excited she can hardly wait. Her b-day is tomorrow the 24th of March and she will be 3! We are having a party here tonight and will be going to Fargo in the am for the night to celebrate with Brit's family! So we had to get 2 cakes! They have Dora on them and Kari couldn't have done a better job!! Thank's Kari for all you do!!

I also took some pic's the other day of Cooper and his new found friend...Mr.Cheese Curl!! He was a cheesy mess but cute none the less!! Hope you all have a great weekend!!

Fort!

This weekend the kids took every blanket they could find and much other misc and built a fort in the living room, and trust me it was the whole living room! I took some pic's to share!

UNBELIEVABLE

This morning when my sister brought the boy's in she let my dog get out...GREAT huh? I tried all day to catch him and he would let me get close enough to just about get him and he would bolt from me! Finally tonight at 6:50pm the neighbor guy helped me get him in the gate and I was able to catch him! I had noticed earlier when trying that he was bleeding on his left shoulder so I thought I better check it out!! I found a wound that appears to be a bullet hole just like before but way bigger!! I have not heard a single gunshot all day and have had the window's open!! Most of the day he has been in our yard laying outside the gate by the van! I am sure that is what it is and don't know what to do about it! Could somebody have a silencer on a shotgun? His collar is also off of him along with his tags!! I know that when he gets out it is our fault and I have been working so hard to keep this from happening, and I can say that today had nothing to do with me or the kid's!!

My neighbor guy works with Brit and he heard some guy's talking this weekend (at Teezer's) about a dog that was shot by the Sheriff a few week's ago that looked like a cross between a Chow and a Rotweiler!! (that sound's like Rosco) I would think that when I made the report to the Police they would have known about a dog being shot by the Sheriff, maybe I am wrong becouse they are seperate from eachother but something isn't right! The Sheriff does live in this mobile home park as well!

On a different note my dryer decided to day that it is done working!! Now with 6 people living here laundry is not something that can wait!! Nor am I gonna load it up and go to the laundry mat, and as if I have time right?! This is looking to be an expensive month and I might just give up and run!! LOL! Test kits

Brit and my stepdad have worked out a plan to rip out that bathroom and then we'll decide waht we're gonna put in there! I went on-line and found test kits you can get tot est your air and the mold to see if it's toxic or not! I did order both and hopefulley they will get here soon so I can test it before they get going to make sure we know what we are dealing with!

Mold Research!

OMG am I ever in trouble. I decided this morning to do some research on mold seeing's how I was starting to believe it could be my trouble!! I went to the Allergy Relief Site and found out I AM IN TROUBLE!!! The first thing I looked at was

It also said that BLACK mold is toxic and that is what is in our bathroom!! It said after it begins to grow spores are continueously released in the air and travel through heat and air conditioning vents. The only way to get rid of it is to bulldoze the walls and destroy the structure containing it!! Holy cow do I now know what is wrong and somehow have to figure out what we are gonna do. We are in a Contract for Deed and are not allowed to sell or trade till the 5 years is up which is still 2 years away...I dont know that we will make it that long!!! It explains the kids being sick all the time too I believe!! Any idea's or input would be greatly appreciated...I am glad I looked it up and now am SCARED TO DEATH!!!

I Wonder?

I often have the feeling of "How long will I live?" I don't always think I am gonna be around to see impportant milestone's of the kid's live's and can't seem to shake it! I can't picture Julia's graduation or her getting married and the same of the other kid's. I know I have to trust that when it is my time it is and there is only one person who can decide that. I don't like this feeling and it bother's me to think I won't be here for my kid's when they grow up! I heard this song quite some time ago called ' 100 Years' and it really makes me think of how short life really is and that I can't take any moment for granted. I guess I will pray on it and keep enjoying life as it goes....

So Julia stayed home today to go to the doctor for her cough! We once again saw Mitch and he gave her some things to help make her more comfortable. His main focus was me...YAY! Sorry Julia! As I am hacking away in the corner he say "Are you still sick?" Ok I have to say this...DUH!! So he listen's to me and suggest's that we try another antibiotic called Biaxin and if that does not take care of it in 2 weeks I am to go back and he has some things we need to look into. 1st we will x-ray my face to see if the mass that I had removed from my left sinus 2 years ago is back and 2nd to see an allergy specialist to find out if it could be the mold that is in my bathroom. That is a long story just know we have a problem in our bathroom that will require total remodeling of that area!!! He also said there are some stronger antibiotic's to use but they are given by IV! YUK!! So I am going to try this and go from there. I certainaly don't want to have that sinus surgery again it was not my most favorite time!! Keep your finger's crossed it is the mold and I can get a new house!!! LOL

UUGGH!!

So I woke up Friday morning stuffed up and coughing again. Did I mention that I just finished my antibiotic a week ago Saturday! I am so angry about this. I am still stuffy today and the cough is so tight and my chest just feels like it's being crushed! I think if I go back to the doctor they will do nothing because I just finished something...what am I to do? Well back to bed I am going not really attempting much this weekend I do have to bowl with my Dad tonight but that is the extent of my list!!! Hope you all had a good weekend and St. Patty's Day!!

Snack Time Fun!

Today for snack we had popcorn which like usual got spilled on the floor. It then became a race to see who get eat it the fastest Rosco or the kid's...lol! Had to share some pic's of this...

24 hour day and a Confession for Kari!

This is how "most" of my day's go...

6:00am- get up and shower (sometime's I am not up that early)

6:30-Daycare kid's get here (depends on the day of how many)

7:00-get my kid's up,dressed, and fed

8:00- take kid's to school, come home and feed kid's who dont go to school

9:00 set kids up with Nick Jr. and clean up...shower quickly if I didnt earlier( OOOPS)

9:30-11:00- activities with kid's housework...diaper changing, important phone calls and etc needed for house

11:00-12:00 feed lunch to kid's, send Jackson off on bus, lay kid's down for nap

12:00-2:30- kid's nap I fold laundry, watch my soaps, e-mail & blog if I can

2:45-3:20 pick kid's up from school, get mail and any errands needed

3:20-4:30 give kid's snack, set them up with an activity (outside if nice)look at kid's school paper's, homework if needed

4:30-5:00 clean up toys get stuff ready to go home(t-th I have a boy from 5-10:30)

5:00-6:30 make supper, kid's go home, eat,clean up

6:30 7:30 relax with Brit and kid's (i have 3 kids that I watch on overnights and if it is one of those days they get here at 6)

7:30-8:30 bathe kids, snack, read a book, play a game bed time is 8:30 sharp

8:30 10:00 Play poker on computer, brit plays the Ps2, (visiting in between) talk to friend's , hot bubble bath (wish it was everynight) take meds and hope I can go to sleep before midnight

The next day it starts all over and I cant wait to blog so I feel like I am actually talking to an adult. I guess I didn't mention that I am a stay at home mom who does Daycare. I have 4 kid's of my own and 7 I do daycare for.

My Confession:

There are so many I should confess but here goes.... When I was bout 8 or 9 my little brother Kenny and I had taken my sister Amanda across the street to this big dog kennel and HUGE dog house where we loved to play in with this huge fluffy white dog. We would crawl up on too of it and peek through the top at each other and it was so fun...lol! Well this particular day we told Amanda that the "dog dropping's" were candy bar's and she could eat one!! She really debated and argued but finally gave in and ate one. To her surprise it was not "good" candy and she ran home and told our mother!!! Yes I did get in trouble...more than Kenny did which I guess I deserved but still don't think is fair...lol! I know this is horrible...sorry Amanda.
