Update!
Based on all the advice I have gotten today about reporting the gunshot to my baby Rosco I did call this evening and made the report! An officer who I don't recognize came and took the report. They will file it and want me to make sure I get his tags on. He said do to the fact that Shar-pei's are so "owner" only protective it is hard to place them if they can't find the owner and most of them would be put down. It was clear that Rosco would have rather the cop left and I made sure he stayed back by the gate entrance...lol...it's not really funny but to me that he hate's men that much and they know it as soon as they see him just makes me giggle! The police officer also told me with a chuckle that hot dogs are cheaper than DBL cheeseburger's...LOL! He laughed and said he must have had them before huh? Yes he is a bit spoiled...hehehe!! So it's reported and if it happens again I am to call them again.

My Poor Doggy!
It's no news that when given the chance Rosco will run with the wind. Well yesterday he bolted out the door when Brit opened it and was running around our neighbor hood . We had been out trying to co-herse him home and had no luck. So we hopped in the van and went to get him a DBL cheeseburger as he can't resist them...lol! When we got back about 15 mins later he was laying on the step and came right too me. We got him inside and bathed him and let him have his burger. He then went and layed down and when I wen to check on him I found 6 different punture wound's and one on his leg that was a pretty good sized hole. I then saw 2 beebee's under the skin by the big wound. I immediately called the vet (this is at 10P) because it was obvious that my dog had been shot!!!! He also wasn't walking on it!! I was so angry and then when the vet told me that it was a shotgun wound not just a small beebee gun I about died!! I was under the impression you couldn't shoot guns in town and why in the world would you shoot a dog whether you wanted him there or not. Another reason this makes me mad is our last dog Chico was taken and let's just say killed not so nicely. The person who found his body called to let us know he found him and was gonna bring him the collar but that he was gonna bury him right away so we didn't have to come see it!! What is this world coming to? You know if my dog came in your yard and you don't like it call the pound or cops so I have to pay to get him or pay a fine...don't shoot or kill!! Anyway I know none of you did it I am just so hurt and irate about the whole subject...next time it could be a kid outside! I am being told I should report it to the police too....I just don't know who did it as to point finger's!!!
Today he is feeling better, and walking on it. The vet had me get some asprin for him for pain and on Monday I need to go get some antiobiotic to prevent infection. So my poor dog...I hope he get's this running out of his system...I am afraid next time he might not be so lucky!!!

Rosco
I got a comment from Tracy and thought I would post on it. She asked how Rosco was with the daycare kids? Well Rosco is great with my kid's, daycare kids and ALL women. He like's Brit but any other man comes in here and we have to hold him back. He literally growels and tries to bite them. I am not sure why this is. He also get aggitated if Brit starts yelling and he will follow me around the house till Brit is calm. He show's no fear of Brit and is totally interactive with him. I am wondering if he was beat or something because why would he act this way? I have to hold him back anytime a man come's in the house or yard.....any thoughts? Other than this he is the perfect dog and fits right in, he has become very spoiled and seems at home now!!!

Janaya Funny!
Last night Brit and I were laying down watching some TV and Janaya came up behind me and started blabbing. I was only kindof paying attention and thought I heard her saying "poka dots" but knew I had to be wrong because how would she know that word!! After a few more time's of that I said "what are you saying" she replied "daddy has poka dots on him". Puzzled I thought for a bit and then had to ask her what she meant....she pointed at his arm and said "see he has poka dots on him" ! Once I checked my husband for these dot's I quickly learned he had a mole on his arm....I laughed so hard I couldn't even explain it to him for a few minute's. They are so funny and smart it amazes me everyday...isn't that just funny though?
Today Julia bowled and she was on fire!!! She bowled a 58, 107 and 112 ( her best ever) so it was fun!

Busy week!
This has been such a busy week so far here at the Boedecker household. I have had all of my daycare kid's here at the same time 2 days in a row. I do basically 24 hour daycare and 7 days a week. Most of the time I don't have all of them at the same time but this week it seems to be happening. Today is pretty much the same but should wind down earlier. I am bowling tonight so that should give me some "sane" time to regroup. Julia came home with a migraine this afernoon, thanks mom for picking her up for me! So I am trying to keep it quiet for her...lol! I feel like I am following them around constantly cleaning!! I should just let it wait till the end of the day but I can't stand to just look at it and it would drive Brit up a wall...lol! It would be nice if I had a bigger place to have a seperate room for kid's to play in.
We are planning a trip to Fargo in a few weeks to see the in-laws and great grandma...and some very special auntie's. We will be celebrating Janaya's 3rd b-day with them too. She will be 3 on the 24th, and I am so not likeing my baby getting too big. It flies by so fast glad I got to enjoy so much of it. Well I think I should get busy again...is everyone enjoying the SNOW?
I think Rosco is finally at home...he claimed a couch...lol!

Snow Day
The kid's are home today as the weather outside is not very nice! So it gets quite crowded and exciting with them and daycare kid's here all day long! I just heard they already called school off for tomorrow also so now they are so excited to have a really long weekend. I was hoping and needing to get to walmart tomorrow and I am not sure that is gonna happen either!! Brit even came home early today so at least I had someone to keep me sane. Not sure if they will get there in the am all depend's on what it does and how hwy 34 is in the am. I do like the cozy warm feeling of just staying in and snuggling all day...lol!
Not much else went on this week, everyone seems to be feeling much better. Brit and I are noticing a difference from the medicine so that is nice. Janaya's cough has much improved so I am staying posative that this is moving it's way out. Well the kids are starting in on the LR again so I best go intervene...lol.

Dr. appt
Today Brit stayed home in the morning so I could go to the doctor as I was tired of feeling this way. I went and saw Mitch Poppens and after he checked me over and I told him how it's been a few weeks of this same stuff he said you should have come in sooner, I said "You shouldn't go on vacation when Im sick"...lol! He chuckled and said that this could flare up another batch of migraines if we don't get it under control, which has already started so he gave me an antibiotic. I told him how Brit has the same thing and he said that he would just call in a script for him too so he didn't have to come in and pay for an office call. That is so nice, I really like him and he has been real good to us. So hopefully this stuff will clear out soon. I am taking daycare kid's again this week so I will need my health to survive...lol!
Janaya is getting better she is just dealing with the cough but that will probably take some time to go away totally. I survived the weekend without Brit and am so glad to have him home. He let me rest till my appt this am and cleaned a whole bunch, then went to work. I swear I must be one of the luckiet women in the world (other's prob say the same) to have a sweet helping husband like Brit...love you dear!! Well the kid's need help picking up before they bathe so I will close for now!

Oh what a weekend!
This has been a long weekend so far!! Brit is gone at a bowling tournament in Alexandria Minnasota and will be home sometime today! I am still not feeling very well it seems to be getting worse! I f I could find time to go to the doctor I would. Last night I went to Flandreau with some girlfriend's and that was fun, I think I left the machine at least 10 times to blow my nose!! But I came home with some money so I geuss that isn't too bad. When we went over there the roads weren't too bad but coming home at 2am was horrible!! It took us anhour to get here from Flandreau, but we made it safely so that is good. The kid's stayed at my sister's so that was kindof weird when I got home to be all alone you would think it would be nice but I really didn't like not having them here when I got home!! My sister called me at 8am and said "They are up come get them" lol!
We will see what this week brings, this sickness is starting to get old and taking along time to leave! Parent's are wanting to bring there kids to daycare and it has not been an option. What can you do though, I don't want anyone else to catch it if possible!

Sick..Sick!
Well the bug is still here! Janaya is doing better temp wise but her cough is really deep and keeps her up at night! So needless to say sleeping here hasn't been so well. Julia is feeling better too. I am feeling not so hot today I think it is catching up to me. I am sending my nephew's home today as they have caught it too. My other daycare kid's have not been here most of the week mostly to prevent the spread of it.
I threw my ball pretty well last night. I thought I would drop it but didn't. I actually did really well, my finger's are sore today but that will get better as I get used to it. For those of you not familiar with bowling I got my finger holes changed from a standard drill to fingertips and now throw a hook ball as well. Hoepfully my game will get better too! Well gotta go for now.

Poor Baby!
My poor Janaya has been dealing with this cough for over a week and yesterday she started with a temp. Today she got up and it was 102.4 so I called to get an appt and of coarse her doctor is full today. So we went with someone else and was that a waste of time. She did a chest x-ray and blood work and said she has fluid in her lungs which looks like the start of pneumonia but we'll go with viral Bronchitis. She wouldn't give her anything and talked Brit out of doing a Influenza test!! Well tonight she woke up and it was 103.5!!! I freaked and called mom at work and she had me talk to a RN about it. She suggested that if it got any higher than that or didn't come down more than 1 degree that I bring her in tonight! She also couldn't believe she didn't do a Influenza test! So here I am watching her close and trying to keep her from coughing all over so not to spread it to everyone. Julia came home from school before lunch with a temp and headache and Brit stayed home today because he didn't feel well either. I'll have to keep my fingers crossed and hope that it is not to high when I check her next, I really don't feel like taking her to the ER tonight. I am seriously thinking about starting to doctor in SF on a permant basis.
Daycare has been busy and I got a call about a 6 week old baby too, not sure if I feel like another baby or kid at this point but we'll see I have time to think it over! I have kid's in the day time, evening and 3 overnighter's too! I feel like I never have time off!! Yesterday didn't go to bad just busy constantly cleaning and was ready for bed when Brit got home!!! LOL! Well it's time to relax for a bit...gonna stay up and take her temp when it gets close to wearing off to see what it is gonna do, I can't go to sleep knowing it will wear off and she could sky rocket!! SCARRY!!

Already?
I can't believe the weekend is almost over! We were so busy I didn't even have time to think about it till now. My sister Courtney got married yesterday and as if the ceramony wasn't busy enough we had a reception and dance at the VFW too! She called me Sat morning at 10:30 and asked if Julia had a pink dress? I said no and she said to find one because she needed her to be in the wedding now to help with getting Brayden and Natalye down the isle (they were her ringbearer and flower girl also her kids). They are 8 months and 2 years, so it actually took me and Julia to get this done but it was so cute and fun! Anyway I found a dress and all went ok. The kids had a blast dancing the night away with friends and family. Mom and Dad just hung out and had a few drinks, well Dad a few more...lol! We got to dance which is so nice and rarely done. I should get a picture of this sometime, imagine him 6' 5" and me 5' 4" but we love it anyway!! By 11:00 Janaya had had enough and was so tired she asked to go home so we did. They slept till 9am which was nice too.
Today I got up and slowly got myself moving and headed to Walmart with Julia and my sister Amanda for the finishing of the grocery shopping. While I was there I spotted the cutest Dora swim suit with a cute little (plastic so it can get wet) grass skirt, how could I pass this up? She was so excited and has been wearing it since!!
Britton was busy cleaning and working on the laundry while I was gone and that was so nice! Thank you dear!! He isn't feeling so well yet so hopefully that moves on soon. I am dealing with another sinus infection as well. I have babysitting kid's tonight and that has created lots of excitement too. Well another load is waiting to be folded so I best hop to it...lol!

I can't wait!
After Brit got home last night I brought up that Larry the Cable guy was gonna be in SF and he got excited and said he'd heard it on the radio at work and wanted to go! I was glad and the only reason I brought it up was because I don't spend that kind of money with out asking first...lol! So I told him my plan and after discussion we decided that it would be both our gifts to eachother and I got back online and bought the tickets, so YES we are going to go and I can hardly wait!! May is a few months away but hopefully it will go fast. We don't get to do things like this very often so it will be a very nice treat!!!
Today the kid's had early out at 12:25 so our nap time is a bit thrown off but that is okay! We picked up some Mcdonald's and are just enjoying a quiet time. Brit will be home in about 20 minutes so I best pick up a bit!

Gift idea?
I have been struggling with what to get Brit for Valentines day this year and not coming up with anything!! Well tonight on my e-mail I got a notice from Ticketmaster about Larry the Cable Guy coming to Siouxfalls in like May but I can buy tickets now! We both love him and have never seen him live. I really want to pull out the credit card and order them and surprise him! Does that sound good enough for Valentines Day????!!!

Conferances
I had parent teacher conf. tonight and they went pretty good. Julia is doing just fine and the only thing she needs to work on is particiating more in class discussion. Miss Howard said it's not that she doesn't know the answers she is just shy...lol..just like her mommy. She brought her Math up to a B+ too!
Jordon is doing well academically but is showing regression in the behavior and self abuse area's again for some reason. He has been acting tired again and it's odd because he's been sleeping very well. He is adding and substracting on his own now so I am super excited about that. He is also reading small words on his own so that is wonderful too. If we could just get his behavior under control we'd have it made. They said they also introduced him to a girl with Austism for an activity and he worked very well with her and was happy to help her when they asked him too so that was nice to know too. It's a constant learning cycle with Jordon that alway's throw's you a new loop to figure out...

Fieldtrip to Prostrollo's
Jackson had a fieldtrip today at Prostrollo's and I got my mom to come in and sit with kids so I could go along! I can't make all of them but I try to when I can and I am glad I did! They are learning about community helper's and car dealer's fit into that catagory especailly since they fix them too (say's teacher Kelli). Anyway he talked to them about selling cars and then started the tour, all the kids loved the orange Corvette in the showroom go figure!! And the animal display was huge too. He then took them into the body shop and my Dad came out, Jackson was so excited to tell everyone that his Grandpa works there. The funny part was that when teacher Kelli said Jackson's Grandpa works here too he said "and he bowls" I busted up and said "yep that sure sums it up " it was so cute!! After that he took them to the conferance room and told them that is where they have their meeting's and told them to have a seat. They were all so excited to be sitting in these big turning chairs...lol! He said now they were car seller's, I asked Jackson if he was gonna sell car's when he got older and he said "no I'm gonna play football" (he then looked at the blonde girl across the table) "and you can be my cheerleader". I laughed again it was totally cute!! He is defiantely a boy!! The other funny thing he said was about the boards they had on the wall that had all the dealers names and there numbers on them, he said " mom they don't know how to make their calander right, cause that is wrong". He was very quick to tell Mr.Draper that too!! Sometimes kid's are so hilarious and they are just being themselves and most of all innocent!!
Anyway it was a good time and I am glad I didn't miss it...

The "you never buy us anything" tour!!
Last night Jordon wanted to go buy a remote control airplane and I said no for a few reason's but the point is I said no, right?! Well after thinking about it for awhile I decided to try something to show HOW much I do buy them! So I got them together and said we were gonna take a tour of our toys!!
Keep in mind we live in a mobile home that is 16' by 80' so we are cramped to begin with!! We started a the back in the girls room and needless to say we found more toys than they need!! In the bathroom we found dolls and books!! Then we went to the boys room where the toyboxes are over full and toys are on the floor because there is nowhere to put them!! So onto the Livingroom where of course there are toys on the floor and a basket of them as well for small daycare kids!! They also have a variety of movies and a v-smile and Dora game for the TV! Then we moved onto the kitchen where there was a slipper in the sink and trucks on the floor and Jordon's tools were on the table. We then moved to mom and dad's room where you would think there would be no toy's but to everyone's surprise there were! So then I asked who still thought I don't buy them anything and only 1 had something to say...yes the one who needs to go get a remote control airplane...lol!!
The only other thing of interest this weekend was that I dyed my own hair and tried to put highlights in it!! I now have redish, purple hair with orange streaks....not cool! I am going to get it stripped tonight as soon as my husband gets home to relieve me!!! I will never do this again as I am so embarrassed to even be seen!! The things I do for excitement....

How do I put a picture on my background page for all to see? I know how to put it on a post but not my main page???

I can't believe what I heard?!
I was never really popular when I was younger in school and it always bothered me. I was not thin and pretty like the other girls and didn't have the name brand clothes they all did either. I have always tried to give my kids what I didn't have and have tried to teach them to be nice and except everyone no matter what they look like or what they wear because it probably isn't their fault and everyone deserves a chance!! It helps to know that Julia is pretty and will never have to worry about weight and she has plenty of friends as well. Normally she is very nice for instance last week in gym class the kids were sitting in circle and nobody would sit by this "big" boy Nick so Julia stood up and said she was gonna go sit by him because noone should have to sit alone and then the class formed a complete circle and included him. I was so proud and the teacher thanked her as well. Well yesterday she was on the phone with one of her friends who is like the girls who were mean to me...has money and all the right clothes and just thinks she is better than everyone else...and they were both looking at their class pictures discussing pictures and who they like. Then I heard Julia say now let's name the people we "hate" and started naming off kid's names, all the one's she named were the not so pretty or cute one's and the one's that dress different or are let's just say nerdy!! She laughed at what her friend said in response and thought nothing of it. I couldn't believe that she was being so mean, and I know the kids didn't hear it but just the thought of it was not nice. When she was off the phone I asked her why she would do that and she thought about it and did feel bad that she had done it, but she also said but they didn't hear it mom!! I again tried to teach her that even though they don't hear you it's not nice and explained how God would feel about hearing her say that about his people...she really thought about it and said I was right. I am afraid that she will be a follower because she knows what is right she just follows what her friend tells her to do. I do however know that she can do the right thing if she stay's strong!
I know we can't prepare them for everything and they have to learn somethings on their own as well I just wish we could make sure they would be on the right path all the time...

Yep 3 of the 4 are not feeling well. Julia still has a temp and the other 2 have the same stuff. Cooper is still sick so at least I don't have babysitting kids to deal with too. My evening kid got sick last night and totally got my couch and floor...thank goodness I was still gone at bowling so Brit had to deal with it!! LOL...sorry Brit! Well gotta get Janaya some more juice....

How much?????
So the water is running and he had to replace all the heat tape and foam tubes, and with all the other mumbo jumbo we just got charged $377 for this job!! he also thinks it could be coming from our water heater and said it might need to be replaced soon! I am in shock or something. Now Brit is checking the water heater...
Posted by the boedecker family at 11:08 PM 1 comments
This is good!!
The plumber got here at like 6:30. He put a nipko heater under the house and said he had to "run uptown and get something" and would be right back! So here it is 8:30 and Brit called him to see what was going on and to tell him the pipe is still froze! Our house it hot as hell though if that helps! Well in the background you can hear music and people talking...please tell me he's not at the bar???!!! I am not about to pay someone to sit at the bar...and then try to fix my house. But I suppose it's not his ass sitting with no water and 4 kids who haven't had a bath yet!! Will post again when something else good happens...lol!

Update!
Well the pipe is broke and we are waiting for a plumber to get here from Brookings! He is finishing a job in Brookings then will be on his way he said!! The city is here to shut down the water to the trailer!! Yes I have a headache...lol!!

Can things get any worse????
I am at my wits end and on the verge of tears!! We woke up again this am to FROZEN pipes!! Only this time to find that the pipe is broken!! The one thing you don't want to happen did!! Now what to do?? We are waiting to hear from a plumber that works on mobile home pipes!! At this point we are ready to give up and just pack up and leave this place!! I really hate to move in the winter but if I could right now I would!! Well Brit needs help will keep all updated!! I am asking for prayers for our luck to change...THANKS!

If I could BUY Luck!!
I often think that somewhere along the road I did something to cause bad luck...lol! The last few days have had some ups and some not so ups!! Sunday night my Dad needed me to bowl for Les on their mixed league and I have subbed before so I was glad to do it, and I like to bowl with my dad!! When practice started I went up and when I went to throw my ball I stuck on the approach and fell hard, not only was I embarrassed but it really hurt my right knee and elbow! Everyone was sticking so they cleaned the approach. When I went to throw my next ball I learned that it was my shoe and stuck again this time I was so cautious that I stopped my self from falling! The good thing that night was I FINALLY got over that 160 hump and got a 163 so there is hope for me after all...lol!
Today has been kindof not so lucky. Cooper my nephew is really sick and I ended up having to have my sister come get him so now I have a few days off again!! It's nice to have quiet time with the way I have been feeling but not nice when payday comes...lol! Then when Brit got home the front door broke (well the handle) we couldn't even open it. So he had to go get a new set and when he was installing it he broke a piece and had to go get another one...but finally it is fixed and we can use it again. It has to be like 30 below out when that happens so the living room is absolutely freezing now!!
I guess tomorrow is another day and I am hoping it's much better!! Jordon is not feeling to well and complaining of a sore throat so he is going to the clinic in the am to make sure it's not strep!! I thought you couldn't get that after your tonsils were out but I guess you can so we best make sure!! I always try to stay ahead of those things so I don't have 4 with the same problem!! I suppose that is all for now....

Leave the Electronic choices to Brit!
You know how I said we got Julia a new DVD player!!? Well apparently I picked out the wrong one and it wouldn' t hook up to her TV! I was very nicely told "that is why he should pick them out" !! So we threw out our old one and hooked up on our TV! Which didn't please little Tudor!! So after I took her bowling I went out to Pamida and seriously looked over the boxes to make sure it was gonna work. The one I picked out said you needed this RF converter deal and so I searched till I found one! At this point I thought it had to work but then again I was nervous that I had no idea what I was doing and he was gonna be real annoyed...lol! But when I got home and he checked it out I had done perfect and it works! He told Julia when he was hooking it up "that she is really spoiled and she best be thanking her mother" he very nicely explained that we didn't get stuff like that when we were young and her brother's don't have one either!! I have always had an issue with buying stuff for the girls like everytime I go to a store! And I have to ask why they like shopping!!!!? Well that is about all for now...

Fun Friday...
Happy Friday everyone!! I love Friday's...just always been my favorite day of the week whether it's payday or not...lol! We got our tax return back yesterday so we sat down and paid off most of our bill....always chipping away at debt...lol! After that I thought it would be fun to take the kid's to Sioux Falls and go to Chuckie Cheese. Britton was a little hesitant but can't say no to me..lol! So we headed there without telling them what we were doing, talk about excitement when we pulled in! They played games ate pizza and played somemore. When we left I said I wanted to go to Walmart for a few things, he absolutely loves to take the kids in there!!! Anyway Julia needed a new DVD player for her room as her's broke and she is lost without it and they were on sale so we got one of those. I browsed through the scrapbook stuff and found some fun things to use! I enjoy sitting for hours and putting pages together, the kids love to see them in books with all the fun accents on them. It will be fun to have in the future too. Anyway back to Walmart, Britton got a new game for the PS2, yippee! I finally found the fish boarder I have been looking for for our bathroom and that will make that complete!! Also they had pillows at a good price so we picked up 4 of those for our bed!! I love shopping it so relaxes me, wish it could do the same for Brit, it actually does the opposite!! But a happy mommy makes for a happy home...lol!
We then headed to Sonic and got slushies for the ride home. It was a fun night and I wish we did it more often! With 4 kids it is a chore to take them anywhere but the look on their faces was so worth it!! Tonight we are the best parents in the world.
I was reading Tracy's blog earlier about pets and I thought of our cat Doboy...Julia named him when she got him so don't ask!! LOL! The best picture I have of him is in his favorite place to sleep, under the x-mas tree! He is such a good cat and not too bad with shedding!

Message for Jennie
I used to read your blog but I get a message saying I need to get an invitation...so I was wondering if I could get one? Barb

Who reads this?
I often wonder who reads our blog? I write on here about how things are going for family and friend's to keep them informed about how are lives are going. I wonder when I am talking to them if Iam repeating something they already know or if they don't read it! I know I think about the weirdest things....

Night one!!
You would think I was talking about one of the kids huh? No I am talking about myself! So last night I took the Zoloft and the Lunesta one hour before bedtime,so I took it at 9pm! By 9:30 I was so tired I could hardly stay awake and I had a babysitting kid here till 10:30! Brit did everything he could to keep me awake, it was really cute! I finally laid down about 10:45 and slept straight through till 6:30 when my sister woke me to let me know the boys were here! I then slept till 7:30 when I had to get the kids up! Talk about wonderfull!!!! I haven't slept that good in so long I hope this works! I feel better today still have adull constant headache but I can live with it I just have to becareful about what I do! Gonna go bowling tonight hopefully it will help to just be out! Sometimes the noise gets to me but we'll see!

Another disappointment!!
So I went to the doctor today really hoping for some kind of answer or at least that they would try to figure out what is causing this! Well that wasn't the case once again!! He said there really isn't any medicine left to try, that we haven't already tried! As if I didn't know that! So he put me back on Zoloft for depression and said that he has seen good results from it on other people! He also is starting me on Lunesta for my insomnia as it has proven before that no sleep is a trigger for my headaches! He said if it's still a problem in a MONTH call him back! Sounds great huh?! He also said something to me that has never been said so point blank, he said "I have had many patients that are an easy fix and I have had just a few that aren't. You are one of those, and I hate to say this but you might have to deal with it all your life and there may never be no anwsers!!" What am I supposed to say to that?? I have a friend who's mom has severe migraines that are just like this and cause the illness part as well and they said the same thing to her, there is nothing more we can do but try to stop the headache when it comes!! He referred to her when I was there today and said it is really sad that nothing works!! Yeah tell me about it!!
So when I got home I balled like mad to my mom and asked her what I am gonna do and how the hell can anyone live like that forever? I also said that seeing's how I have seen 2 in town docotrs and a neuro from Sioux Falls there really is no point in getting a 4th opinion is there? I don't even know where I would start or where to look for a good neuro? Well I geuss for now I will start these new meds and live with it the best I can....

So frustrated!!
I feel like it's been forever since I have posted on my blog...3 days is a longtime in my world...lol! I don't know if I have mentioned how I have been feeling the last month or so as I usually keep it about the kids! I have a history with migraines and have gotten quite used to living with them on a normal basis!! SAD, but true! Every time they get bad and my medicine is not working I go to the doctor she sends me to the neuro and they still can't figure it out and meds aren't working! So when I come in they get frustrated! With that in mind I try to just deal with it and not bother them, and save my hundreds of dollars to just hear the same things! Last time I went in the doc talked of taking my ovaries to see if it's from my hormones still? But then I would have to take hormones and there's no gaurantee they won't give me headaches as well! So why not keep my own instead of taking pills that would cause them right??!!
Well for the las month or more I have been dealing with headaches daily, most of which are tolerable for me. I have also had nausea, loss of appetite, increasing insomnia, dizziness and lots of preasure in my head from different activities! I have had a few bouts of this when standing up from sitting on the bed or chair, I almost fell over last weekend and caught myself on the wall?? To me this is not normal!! I also am having problems when I bend over for longer than a few seconds, and this is something I have to do, I have kids and many household things I do that require me to bend over!! When I get this preasure it hurts and I feel dizzy and faint! So as it seems to be getting worse not better I finally made an appt. The soonest I can get in is Tues, unless I want to see someone else! Well that I don't like because I like someone I trust and who is familiar with my case! Today is one of those days, I woke up with a headache and have been having these bouts. To make it worse I am trying to get my laundry done and every time I go in there and start bending over and up an down I just feel worse and now I am feeling naustious again!! I hope they can figure something out becuase this is not normal for me and is really affecting my life!!
It is hard to be a good and active mom when it's like this. I also tend to be short in temper and come off as rude to my family and friend's when they call or come over!! I think most of them are used to it but it doesn't make it right!! So if I have been rude or short with anyof you lately I appologize greatly!! I hope I get some answers next week and hope it's something we can fix!! I will post on that when it happens....

The weekend and some pics!
Hello I hope everyone had a good weekend! It was a nice weekend here on the Boedecker front! Friday night we just hung out and relaxed, it was very nice! Saturday we got our taxes done in the am and Julia had bowling. She did pretty good this weekend. She brought Megan (a friend from her team) home with her to play and she ended up spending the night! So we ordered pizza and got some movies, totally nice and relaxing again!! Sunday was a total lazy day I don't think we did anything, Julia cleaned her room, and I think that was about it...lol! I did bowl with my Dad tonight as Les hurt her back again. It was lots of fun to bowl with him, I enjoy spending time with him doing something he really enjoys!! Julia came along and Megan was there and so they hung out. She got her glasses on Friday afternoon so here's a picture of that.
She is very happy with her choice!!
I also thought I should post some pictures of Jordon "fixing" Kari's broken appliance's!! I posted a blog before christmas about an idea I had for Jordon using tools and taking things apart!! Kari thought it was great too and got right to work on it!! For x-mas she got him lots of things to "fix" and a set of tools to use on them!! He was so excited, it only took him 1/2 a day to completely take apart the whole box! I told Kari and she said it was cool and that she had more boxes of stuff so that was good!! I don't have much time to get more appliances I am geussing. The one's she brought this time are bigger and taking more time to "fix" so that is good!! LOL! So here are some pics of him working hard!! Or not!!! Blogger won't let me????

We both have our W-2's now so tomorrow we will go see what kindof damage we can't create with the IRS...lol! Hope all have a good Friday...it's is sure looking up!!

Our Pipes are FROZEN!!
Brit woke up at 5am to find frozen water pipes!! This happened 2 years ago and was undone in like an hour with hot towels and boiling water! Well it is 9:30 and he has been at it since 5am!! I am starting to get worried, it would totally suck to have to get the plumbing redone!! Oh the joys of living in a mobile home! I have been wishing for a few months that we would have gotten a house instead, now I feel justified in my thinking. Well he's back with more water better start boiling! He's going over to my sisters house to get bucket's of water!

How fast can a day change?
Today was normal Wednesday this morning!! Julia had an eye appt at 1pm so I knew my afternoon would be a little off, but not change the hole day!! At the eye appt we found out that Julia needs reading glass (perscription) and is farsided (sp?). So we got those picked out and should have them in a week! She will need to wear them when she reads and does her school work and writing! Hopefully she will grow out of it the doc said!!
When I got home I got a call from my mom that my sister is sick and in the hospital gonna have her appendix taken out at 5P! OK that is not cool, I have her kids!! When I last talked to her she was in pain and left work to go to the doctor. Well that means the boys are not leaving at 5:30?!! To make matters worse I have that new litle boy starting tonight, he is gonna be here from 5-10:30 t-th. So that means I would be leaving Brit here with 7 kids,3 of which are from my job!! So I cancelled bowling for this week and that is such a BUMMER! I geuss there is next week, what is mom to do? Hopefull tomorrow will bring a "normal" Thursday!!

Some Janaya Funny's!
Sometimes little kids and the things they say are just the funniest things ever!! The other day once again Janaya got ahold of a marker and wrote lines all over her tummy, I walked in and immediately started lectureing her that we don't write on our face and body with marker's and that she knows that, she said to me"mommy me not marker me face it's me tummy"! At first I started to laugh because she was totally right, it wasn't her face!! What is a mom to do? Then a little while later she was at the table and whining for her snack and I told her to wait her turn, she says"but..but..momma, but momma" now she must hear alot of "but mom" around here or how else would she know that? I laughed again mostly because of the stutter like way she spoke till she got it right! She is funny I tell ya!
I decided not to apply for that job here at the school as I got another babysitting kid, and have a good chance of another in Feb and the mom is pregnant too! So I have decided to keep at it. Also the thought of taking them back to daycare just made me really sad, I absolutely hated the thought of me not being here and doing things the way we are!! Even though I know there are good daycares out there I just love that it's me taking care of my babies all the time!! I think some of you know what I mean!!
Well tonight is bowling so I am looking forward to some time out of the house!

A fun Sat afternoon!
Janaya loves the movie Charlotte's Web, she has the cartoon version, and has seen the preveiws of the new movie on TV! I have been wanting to take her to see it so I thought a nice mattinee would be fun, and of coarse it was not here anymore. I then got online and found that it's still in Siouxfalls and since we had nothing better to do we drove down and they got to see it. It was really good except it doesn't have the music that hers does, it actually lacked music!! She liked it but needed to go to the bathroom twice. The 2nd time I told her if she would just sit and watch "Wilbur" she would get to go to BK when we were done, that did the trick!! The funny part was as soon as the baby spiders started to fly off she grabbed her coat and said "we go to burger king now mommy" I laughed outloud!! I quickly told her to 'shhh' as I hadn't asked Daddy yet...lol! But of coarse she asked for me as soon as we got out side and he can't say no to her very often!
When we got home I relaxed for about an hour then headed over for the cleaning job! I cleaned for 3 1/2 hours, all I have to say is it's a good thing i am gonna get paid!!!LOL! I hate cleaning really, so it's weird I would take a job like that! Well the nephew is gone for the night so I better hit the sack....have a ton of laundry to get up and do!

Shopping made easy!
Tonight Brit and I went to Brooking's with another couple and had Applebee's (YUMMY) and then to Wal-mart! My sister kept the kids so this is the 2nd trip in a row we were on our own! I can definatly say we buy much less without them! We were given giftcards to walmart for x-mas totalling $200, so when the total came to $270 and we used them we actually only had to give up $70 this week!! I was so happy. With supper and that 70 we still spent less than we usually do!! Talk about good evening!!!!
We usually do well with sticking to the neccessaties but the kids saw Barnyard last weekend and absolutely loved it so I had to get it. And sure enough when we got home they got jammies on and were in front of the TV before I could even tell them to do it.LOL!
Tomorrow I start my side cleaning job, my dad and Lesli are gonna pay me $50 every2 weeks to come in and clean while they are gone bowling! I can always use that!! Well I best go I am being called to watch the "cow's tip the boy over".

Oh my what will I do with her?
Tracy I think you have been waiting for some pics of my "little pretty girl"!! The other night we put the kids to bed and all seemed quiet, then about an hour later I hear hysterical laughter from Julia followed by "Naya's out of bed". So I go back there to find her wearing Julia's shirt (as a dress) 1 of Julia's dress shoes and 1 of Jackson's cowboy boots!! She also must have a hidden stash of black PERMANENT markers as she was well decorated with that again!! All I could do was laugh and laugh some more. I then took her by the hand to my room and grabbed the camera, Brit turned and said she is supposed to be in bed and you are taking pictures? It took him a second to notice her attire was not so much what she had on when she went to bed, after I pointed that out he just laughed!! Really what else could we do? The part that is not so funny is that here we are 2 days later and she still has black lines on her legs and feet!!
Not much else going on kids went back to school yesterday and seem just as happy as mom does about it!! I bowl tonight and think I really need some time out I haven't been feeling all to well lately and think most of it is stress and being cooped up in the home too much!! Well here are some pics of the lil dress up one!!
She looks so darn proud of herself!
They both don't show her legs but trust me they are beautiful none the less!!

She looks so innocent sometimes!! She was trying to do her lips!!

I got a deal!!
Not sure if I mentioned it in my other blogs but we decided that this was the last year for our x-mas tree! It was tipping over bad and falling apart, so when I undecorated I hauled it to the dumpster! I then told Brit that as soon as things start going like 50-75% off I needed to get a new one. He was a bit nervous about this as tree's are not cheap these days! So the other day I went to Pamida and things were 50% off but not the tree's and I didn't really like what they had anyway! I then thought that maybe I made a mistake and should've kept it?! So yesterday a friend of mine wanted to run to Lewis and asked me to come I went and it was a good thing I did. They had ALL of their x-mas stuff 75% off...even the tree's! The tree I got is 7'5" pre-lit and it was originally $150, I got it for a whopping $37.49 is that awesome or what!!! I was so proud of myself...lol! I also got some garland for it and they had some pretty glass oranments org 19.99 that were now 4.99! All in all I was pretty happy with my shopping experience!! The only prob is I wanted to put it up and now have to wait 11 months...lol!!!
Not much went on here for the New Year, Jackson and Julia stayed up to watch the ball drop, Julia seemed to like that, but she acted as if she expected more to happen then that...lol! They went right to bed and slept in the next am. Things are pretty quiet on the homefront...kids back to school and back to our routine!!

She's so SWEET!
Happy New Year to everyone! It's been a nice weekend so far! Relaxing as compared to christmas!! We struggled all week to find a sitter for our bowling last night and had no luck! So we cancelled our 6pm slot and I had an idea for later????!! We stayed signed up for the 10 p slot though. We put the 3 younger kids down just after 8 pm and when it was time for us to leave at 930 they were sound asleep. So then what did we do?? Julia is 9 1/2 years old and very mature for her age so I thought that if we left her a list of about a million numbers to incase she needed, then they would be fine!! I instructed her not to answer the phone and only to open the door to us it should stay locked! And she followed every instruction to the tee, I even had a secret knock that she remember even though she fell asleep!! She did very well and we were only gone 2 hours. I am so proud of her!! She asked me earlier in the evening if she would get paid like other babysitters do? So I said yes and paid her when I got home!! She then went to bed and all was well, I can't lie though I was scared "shittless" all night long!! Definately not something I can handle doing all that often!!
Today she thought she'd try to get more money by doing laundry. She was so innocent just doing it without saying a word. After about an hour or so I told her to stop that it was my job and she said "oh I am ok I am just bored" I laughed and let her keep going!! She did a total of 3 loads and then I walked up to her and handed her some cash, she said " whats this for?" lol I told her why and she said "thank you" she is so sweet I just love having her!! I am sure I will need to remember this in a few years when she is a teenager but for now she's just the sweetest thing!!
Today was just a LAZY day for us. Tonight Jackson and Julia stayed up to watch the ball fall and countdown the New YEar, they seemed to like it! Julia just had to prove she could stay up!! LOL. So with that I will end....Happy New Year!

It's been a few days!
I realized that it's been a few days since I have blogged and that doesn't happen to often! I guess this has just been a quiet week!! The kids are ready to go back to school, Julia is just bored and Jordon is definatley needing to be back on schedule!!! Jackson and Janaya love having them home though! It just gets crazy here when kids are not on schedule, even Cooper and Ely are on the fritz!!
We are supposed to bowl in the New Years no-tap again this year but both my sitter options are gone till sunday so I am getting worried that we probably won't be!! I am really starting to enjoy bowling and starting to get better. I had 2 really good games this week and even got a 4-10 split...if you don't know that is really hard. You have 2 pins one on each side...talk about pure luck and for the first and possibly last i got it!!! I was so pumped...I even got chest pain, not that I should be happy about that but I did!! LOL.
Some other things have gone on this week that I won't go into detail with but I am sure learning who my bestfriend is and how people will put you into the middle of things just to save their own but!! And the awefull feeling of people looking at you and saying things about you that should be directed the other direction, wow you would think I would have learned my lesson years ago!! Anyway I do know there are plenty of people that know the truth about the situation, me and who I am, so I guess the people that matter know I am not like her!!!
Well I hope everyone has a very Happy New Year!!!
Here is a pick of Janaya after using marker to
put on her "pretty face" she has done worse this
one was just funny!

Merry Christmas!
Oh what a busy day!! Today we went to my mom's for christmas! We had dinner and lots of goodies and much needed family togetherness! It was so good to see everyone!! I think there were like 34 people in my mom's house for quite some time!! It was great!!!! The kids of coarse were blessed again!
Janaya has been totally loaded down with Dora this x-mas and she got make-up so hopefully no more markers...lol. Julia got lots of CD's and movies she wanted. Jordon got some remote control cars and much Power Ranger toys! Jackson was blessed with spider man, and he is in high heaven!! They all got lots of clothes and socks and undies too! It takes hours to open it all and get it put together and put away!!
I was totally hooked up in the kitchen this year, I got a big griddle, cake pan and cookie sheet and finally a deepfat fryer!!!! I was so excited!! Brit got new clothes his foot ball game for the PS2 and his favorite Aramani colonge!! Oh better not leave out his cordless drill with a laser something or other...all I know is he was thrilled!!!

Christmas Eve!
Tonight was kindof a family night for us! I geuss there is always room to start a new way of doing things! We went to church at 5:30 for the candlelight service. Janaya had to leave 3 times with Britton, but considering she's 2 I think she was ok!!LOL! After church we went to Pizza Hut and enjoyed some fun! When we got home I was asked about a million times if we could open presents, so after an hour of putting it off we did! Holy cow did they make out like bandits, Grandma and Grandpa's you did your jobs well of spoiling the kids!!! They were in heaven and none of them went to bed before midnight!!

Shopping is officially done!!
I can offically say I am done christmas shopping, now if I could say the same about wrapping...lol! Today my mom watched the kids and Brit and I headed to Brookings to hit Wal-mart! We were in there for 2 hours and didn't even realize it! Pretty darn amazing when there are no kids to make you hurry and watch the clock! We still needed 2 carts though...lol!
The kids had a great time with Grandma, they frosted sugar cookies, made puppy chow and spritzer cookies!! They were just getting ready to have pizza when we pulled into town so we came home unloaded and put everything away before I went to get them! All in all I can say it was a good day had by all...hope yours was too!

It's SNOWING!
I looked out the window just a awhile ago to see that it is finally snowing! It really made me feel good! Janaya got so excited for some reason and wanted to open the door to watch it, and when I wanted to shut the door she got mad! She doesn't seem to understand that we can't leave it open all day just to see the snow! She is jumping up and down yelling " SNOWING, SNOWING, YEAH!" Sometimes they are so cute and funny I tell ya! Well I geuss I have said it all for now....

She finally got to see Santa!
Yesterday afternoon my Dad called me and said "Did your hubby tell you that Santa is gonna be here today?" (meaning at Prostrollo's) So I had everyone ready and as soon as he got here we headed out there as Janaya hasn't seen Santa and has been really excited about him this year. As soon as we got out of the van she spotted his hat through the window and she started screaming " SANTA...SANTA..SANTA" it was so cute! When we got inside the other kids got a little nervous and she walked right over there and said "You Santa" and started laughing, it was so cute! She told the others to come see and they did! After that she went back and told Papa what she saw and just kept giggleing, it was hilarious! She told him she wants "Dora"!!
When we got home Julia came to me and said "Mom I don't think that was Santa! He is too dirty and Santa isn't dirty!" I quickly told her it might be from chimneys. And she didn't agree as Prostrollos doesn't have a chimney!!! LOL. I then suggested that maybe since Santa is so busy he had an elf dress up to help him out....she said "Oh yeah but I think it is 2 put together cuz elves aren't that tall!!" I laughed so hard after she walked away! I think it won't be long before she figures out the truth! She is 9 afterall.

Wrapping, Wrapping, Wrapping!
I swear I have wrapped a million presents and still have more to buy and wrap! Usually I save the wrapping till the end and then get mad that I have hours of wrapping to get done in just the nick of time! This year I am taking the 'let's get it done early' approach! LOL! I have all the presents for family done and no room under the tree and I still have to get my kids done! I figure the later I do it then they don't have to wonder so long, as they know the ones under there are not their's. Although I did wrap and put the gifts from my Dad under there and they figured it out. LOL!

I feel like the Grinch!!
Christmas is my favorite time of year, and I usually look forward to it!! This year is not going as usual! I just am not feeling x-mas at all, I am not sure why and it is really getting depressing. I know part of it is there is NO snow; I don't like winter but can't imagine having no snow at least on x-mas! I also have had this issue with christmas becoming so commercial and all about "PRESENTS"! Don't get me wrong I love giving and recieving and wouldn't take the gifts away but the true meaning of x-mas and the getting together with family seems to slip farther and farther each year! I see this in my kids...all they seem to care about is when they get to open their presents! I am not done shopping either I am hoping to get the last few done on Fri when Brit and I go to Brookings, alone!!!LOL. Hopefully I will feel better soon!
Not much went on this weekend, lots of R&R!! Julia had the 2nd part of her city tournament on sat and bowled pretty good considering she had to bowl 6 straight games!! Brit and I wrapped the presents we have here already and also went to see Grandma and Grandpa Hoeke for a bit Sat afternoon! I made some more "puppy chow" on Sun as it never seems to stay long once it's made...lol. Well time to lay kids down TTFN...

Always Busy but never much to say!
So as I was running around yesterday I thought to myself why am I always so busy but never seem to have anything new to report. Then I remembered that duh I have 4 kids, a husband and I babysit, so of coarse I am always busy but it is the same thing day after day. And then I realized why I find things boring, they are the same time and time again. Once in awhile something will change just a bit or I will have a week where I wish things were just like they always are but I suppose I am not the only one.
I did get a letter from Dr. Blake yesterday regarding our recent visit and in there he changed Jordon's diagnosis a bit, he has now added Pervasive Developmental Disorder or Autism Spectrum! This is the 5th class of Autism and usually higher functioning. I have been saying and asking about this for 2 1/2 years now because I knew from experience that Jordon had too many characteristics of Autism. So it doesn't change to much I just know that what I am doing is right and a few more things I can try to help some of the troubleing behaviors we are still dealing with. I called his Sp. Ed teacher this am and we had a nice talk about some things we can try there and some ideas that I would like to implement here at home. One thing I need to do is come up with some old broken electroncis ie: radios, VCR's that Jordon can have in a tote and his own tools so he can tinker with them, take them apart or whatever. This would help lots of issues we fight over and he could learn something too. So if anyone has any or knows where I can get some please let me know!
I bowled last night and we ended up taking 2nd for the 1st half of the season which is good, we really thought we were gonna get it!! I bowled really well last night all 3 games were over average so that was nice.
Geuss I don't have much else to say...I am now just avoiding the laundry....lol

My boy looks so smart!
Jackson got his glasses today and when he puts them on he just looks so incredibly smart! Not that he's not without them, he just looks good in them. We picked out some different frames this time. I think these ones actually don't make the lens look as thick as it is. His left eye is like 20/70 or something like that...really bad is a good way to put it. I hope this works this time or she said the next step is to put a patch over the good eye to make the bad one work. First off how embarrasing and that will never stay on I can tell ya that right now. It would be fun to play pirates though!
The last few days have been fairly quiet. Britton is feeling not so good but has been trucking through life and work like a trooper. Kids are doing ok, a little bit wound up but normal.
Ely is challanging this week, he has started this "MINE" deal and everything is his even me! The bad part is he hits Janaya when she touches anything and says"mine". I am so frustrated cuz no matter what we say or do he still does it and my poor baby is getting whomped on time after time daily. I can't leave them alone for a second!! He even yelled and pushed her down cuz he saw a picture of Janaya with "his Grandma". Over a picture to me is a bit too much! Everyone seems to think this is funny and just a stage but until it's there little girl getting hit, pushed, bit, or kicked in the head they just won't get it. I know I am a bit overpertective but I guess it's making me angry!! Yesterday she was watching Dora and he came up behind her and hit her in the head with a softball and said "mine"!! I am still not sure what he's talking about but needless to say I was PISSED!! (sorry for the language) When you are hitting someone who is doing nothing but sitting quiet and minding their own business you have an issue!! Well I best quit on that note...or I'll probably stick my foot in my mouth!! I do LOVE the little guy but he needs some attitude asjustments!! Well there you go I did it!! Talk to you all soon....

Disney On Ice!!
We took the kids to Disney on Ice last night, oh what fun it was! They totally loved it just like I knew they would!! And Britton had a wonderful time just as I kept telling him he would. They loved the the music and the lights especially from the newer movies! Janaya kept going crazy over Mickey and Minnie...it was cute! There were a few older movies that they didn't remember or know but they still liked them! By the end of the show though they were ready to go...2 hrs is quite awhile! But to their surprise we were going to Wal-mart afterwards! But we left the arena at 9p sharp and when we got in the van from leaving Wal-mart it was 10:11...is that quick or what!! By the time we got home and unloaded, put stuff away and got them to bed it was 11:45! I had some very tired babies and they slept in till 9:30am. YIIPPEE! All in all it was a good family night...we can always use those!
Today Julia had City Tournament for bowling so I was there with her for a few hours. Then she was gonna go to a friends house so I drover her there...I feel like a taxi service sometimes, and I am sure it will only get worse as they get older...lol! We took the other 3 out to pick up a movie and got pizza so they are chillin out quietly...nice quiet evening at the Boedecker's. Guess that's all for now....

Dr. Bunch Visit!
So I went to Sioux falls again this week! Julia had her appointment with Dr. Bunch today,FINALLY! We have been rescheduled a few times since her origianl appt. was set in Oct. But at least she's been seen now. The appt was for her migraines (which seem to be passed on from me) . Anyway she recommended that we start her on a pill called Amitripaplyne. She will take this everyday at bedtime to try to prevent the headaches. She said that she has had the best luck with this drug and other neurologists that she has worked with also said the same thing. So hopefully this will help cut down on some of them and help her to feel better. She was a nice doctor and Julia really liked her!
I was hoping to take the kids to Disney on Ice tomorrow night, I don't know who wants to go worse me or the kids. I have taken Julia before and she liked it, but honestly I think I liked it more...lol! I would like to go to Walmart afterwards and that would mean for a late night and busy kids in the store so we'll see. It would also mean trip number 3 to Sioux Falls this week, YUK! The roads were good so I guess that is a plus and I got to go to BK for a chicken sandwich twice already, YUM! LOL!
Well now that I am home and Grandma has left the kids are wound up and the laundry is trying to tell me something!? So I best go for now...

Dr. Blake visit.
Good Monday to all! Today has been busy for me as usual. Jordon had an apt. with Dr. Blake in Sioux Falls. For those of you that don't know he is Jordon's Developmental Pediatrician. Dr. Blake was very excited about Jordon's groweth over the last 6 months both physically and mentally. He is doing better than he expected in school and his behaviors are at the best we can expect. He says he thinks by talking to me and Jordon and seeing what the schools write that things are going well. He also said it sounds like I have learned well what battles to take or leave; and I have waited a long time to hear someone perfessional says something like that about my parenting with Jordon. I guess I feel that I have not always done the best for him, or that his problems were my fault. So to see such growth and have the doctor say we are doing well means alot. I know he has potential and now I know that I am getting somewhere with it. He also thought that my being home with him has probably done him good as he has always stressed that Jordon needs structure...structure...structure!! I feel good knowing I am where I should be!
Well enough about that...I could go on for hours! I don't have to much else to say just trying to get laundry done today. Julia see's the neuro on Thursday so will report that when it happens! Take care...Barb
